My cat appered pregnant she would have been at the end. Her milk had come in, she did the nesting but she hasn't had any kittens. I am worried she lost them. But with reading articals here she had no bleeding or any other signs of a miscarriage. Please try and help me figure this out. I love my cat and dont want anything to happen to her.

Take her to the vets - she might have had a false pregnancy.

When was she due?  (am guessing you don't know when she mated so have no idea)  Has she got smaller?  Can you feel kittens moving?  Could she have had them somewhere you don't know about?

Spaying her is the best thing.  If it was a false pregnancy I think she can be spayed pretty much right now, unless she starts calling again.

If she was near the end of her pregnancy you would see noticeable movement in her tummy. I would take her to the vet like orient has said, shes always spot on with her advice :)

Consulting vet now is a good advice - a check up useful here, preparing at the same time for spaying.

It could be a miscarriage, where she perhaps did immediately ate up the results - thus you not noticing.

It could be a false pregnancy, as mentioned. Not that unusual.

It could be she absorbed the kittens.

I had always though absorbing of kittens doesnt happen in the late stages of pregnancy. But it seems it can happen, and is not very unique. Two of our forumist had this happen in the last half a year, according to their vets.

Welcome to our Forums!

Good luck!

You are my new bestest friend!
lol ty!
But it was you that gave me the confidence to move them after she had them under my bed.
You helped me pick out some scales, gave me the idea to record their weights on spreadsheet and how much they should gain each day.
You reasured me when their weight was on the low side one day.

You made a lovely chart of the kittens growth :)

You helped me try and work out the sex of the kittens.

Need i say more? lol Beisdes in a couple of weeks ill be coming to you for toilet training advice and weaning advice i expect!

Very kind of you, though I didn't realise how much my advice was taken!

And since you ask:

Toilet training - I have always let them copy mum.  You need plenty of litter trays they can get in and out of as they only realise then need to go a fraction before they do go, to start with.  Don;t give them the run of the house, just a smallish room preferably with a washable floor!  The last litter I fostered were starting to use the big tray (with a high lip) as soon as they could get into it.  They did use the dish with the biscuits in once!

Weaning - they stumble into her food and as they clean themselves up start eating.  Or that has been my experience - I've never offtered mixes of food & Cimicat, just a variety of commercial food.  I started letting them have occasional poached white fish and raw mince once they were 6 weeks old, and saw the one I hadn't seen eating get right on with it.  She much have already been eating from the dishes as she was completely confident going up to the dish and eating.  And if you wondered - I have lots of small shallow stainless steel dishes that I put through the dish washer.  I think the last lot came from Morrisons which you will know or know of if you live in the UK.

Glad mum takes care of toilet training lol!

Weaning id read some in library books although they seemed old books because there was a picture of a girl with a kitten and she was wearing flares and a tank top lmao! It was on about mushing cereals and all sorts to make first food >_<

Cereals are not a natural food for a cat.  They do just fine straight onto kitten food, but they usually continue feeding from mum for quite some time.
