I have woods and wetlands behind my apartment and I am very very concerned....

we are having serious weather all day since 7 am it is now 9 pm almost and the rain and winds will not stop.....floods everywhere including the woods where i think she has themmm

please help with advice will she be ok

will she leave them if the drown or stay there and possibly drown herrself

i put a large cat carrier outside my apt. with a towel and food and water hoping she will know enough to bring them but no sign all day during this

this weather is susposed to do this again all day tomorrow

Really you can't know for certain.  Cats tend to have sense when they choose a nest for the babies especially the Moms who have had litters in the past. But just be advised she can get pregnant again as soon as she delivered.  Is there any plans for her to be spayed?  Some clinics have a long wait list.

ARE THEY SMART ENOUGH even at a young age to move the kittens somewhere that isnt flooded if she is in the woods that are COMPLETELY flooded

i have something set up for them on my porch but she has not come up

my problem is the flooding out here and the rain just wont stop and i have been out there so much today hoping to see her but the woods are completely flooded...if she is ok and comes to eat she will see that the huge carrier with a warm towel is set up for her with an opening...

i am just concerned her and or the kittens may drown out there

i understand now. i didn't realize you had a covered porch at your apartment. she's smart enough to move her kittens. hopefully, she will be able to if need be. don't forget about that cat who saved all of her kittens from a fire.

I think if there is a way for them to save the babies they will.  I have scene cats survive some very odd situations.

May want to look on found cat ads from paper/craigslist.  Animals have a knack for surviving:)

AW poor momma and babies - usually the mom cat will sense danger - weather related as well - and move the kittens to safe ground. I hope that is what happened. :cross: There is not much you can do other than wait :sigh: Good to hear that there is someone who will take the kittens and that you will have momma spayed. Mega vibes that the little family survived these rains. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

thanks for all that care

SHE CAME BACK!!!!!!!! she came back yesterday and it was amazing she sat in my lap and was dry which i was shocked ate alot of iams and can food and drank alot of water then she got realll amazing....

she had me follow her while she looked back meowing alot at me and let me to a large brush area and went in an opening

i thought she wanted to show me the kittens unfortunately i tried my darndest to get in there but just to much brush and branches etc.... so i pet her awhile longer and left...she watched me then went back in

today i went to the area and called her "princess" she came right out and now i know they are there....she came to my house to eat and stayed as always for 2 hours and then went back

i have a huge carrier with a towel in it on my porch which she went into to explore so hopefully soon she will bring them here and they will have a new home until she is done weaning and they have a rescue who will place them and i will get her fixed and looked at and shots and love her to death

WONDERFUL

That is awesome! She clearly trusts you and knows you're there to help, so hopefully she will bring her babies there. It is great to read that she is fine and will have a good, loving home too. You're doing a wonderful thing!

OH FANTASTIC update!!!:clap: OH Princess :rub: ... she sounds just so loving and trusting of you. If she in fact does have kittens and she is getting food and care from you, she will bring the kittens when they are ready. Good idea about the crate and you could even place her dishes inside so she will feel comfortable going in and out of that crate and might be more inclined to use it for herself or her kittens. Much easier when the time comes to catch her!! They are pretty saavy and do know how to keep themselves and their kittens safe. Pretty incredible
