Relating to some of the "Poop" comments:

Kiddy-Lynn is almost human and well behaved. We found her (Or she found us) on our lawn in Southern Florida. She came around a few days but we "Shooed" her away, not wanting any pets. Finally, we hated to see her in the heat and took her in. Our only problem is that she's a "**** machine", at least 4 times a day on dry cat food with a bowl of water, next to it.

She's about a year old and weighs about 11-12 pounds (She was 10 lbs. when we found her, about a month ago).

We haven't taken her to a vet yet (We applied Frontline for fleas), but probably should. She'll go out in the morning and stay on the property, mostly in front of the hose, for an hour or two then meow to come in. She'll only poop & pee inside (Box). We let her in & out a few times a day, but never leave her out after supper. Actually, we take off a lot and leave her alone, and we feel bad. We were going to give her to a good family, but won't trust just anyone...plus she's my wife's new friend.

So.... we like her but she craps too much (Solid, but stinks til' she covers it).

Anyone have any ideas about her "**** machine syndrome?"

The more grains in the dry food, the more poop that comes out.  If you need to feed her dry, a good grain free should at least lessen the amount of poop.  But if you switch her food, be sure to do it slowly, mixing the new with the old a little at a time, slowly increasing the amount of new food or you could cause her to have an upset tummy, which you'll like even less than frequent poops
.  (and a bonus to switching might be less stink too...now if you REALLY want to get less poop and smell, you could switch to feeding raw, but that's hard to do if you're away a lot, or if you're not really planning on keep her, it might not be worth switching her over, since the next owners might not want to keep her on it)

when a cat has smelly poops and a lot of it, it all goes back to whatever she ate, just the same as people LOL. I agree with the earlier post, better to feed her a grain free food. Adjust her slowly bc you don't want her to get diarrhea from an abrupt change.

Considering she is only pooping/peeing inside, you might want to
ust keep her inside, it is safer for her and it sounds like you have grown somewhat attached- at least to the point where if you never saw her again or you saw her injured, it might make you wish you had brought her in or found her a home instead of having to deal with injury or disappearance.
