So our cat fluffy's kittens turn two weeks old today. She keeps picking them up from their box and moving them under beds and into closets, it takes me about 40 minutes to be able to locate where she has placed them. Everytime i move them back in the box the mother cat just keeps meowing. I tried moving the box to a different spot and so far it seems to be working but the mother cat just keeps meowing. Do you have any suggestions? Also i know that they will be introduced to hard food and will be wandering around at about four weeks, can someone help me out with telling me the best way to introduce them to the food and to get them to use their litter box. Also before four weeks should i be seeing pee and poop. I have only seen a little poop so i am not sure that all of them are going, or how many times a day they are going

thanks

Moms moving around kittens isnt that unuusal. Common is if they dont feel safe or comfort with where their human made nest ist.   Any problems you can discover??

Food and litter.  They do as mom does.  Have food in shallow plates.

Similiar with the litter: have their litter in somwthing more shallow. For example such a provisorical baking form, made from aluminium folium. You can buy it cheaply at the baking shelfs in your daily food shop.

visible poo they do got essentially when they begin to eat their own food. before that the poo is more of tooth paste consistency, based on mother milk.  people dont often see it, as their mom does immediately cleans them off (ie ates it).

Good luck!

She doesn't like where her box is and doesn't feel secure there.  Let her find somewhere she likes and leave her be - it's not good for the kits for her to be hauling them around so much.  They should be sleeping, feeding and growing.

She is toiletting them which is why you are hardly seeing the evidence.

They introduce themselves to solid food, by watching what mum does and copying her, and simpley exploring.  You need to feed mum in shallow dishes they can get in easily.  It can be a messy business!

They learn to use a litter tray the same way, but if you give them too much room and/or not enough litter trays there will be accidents.  When they need to go it's often Right Now, not 20 seconds later.
