I need some advice! We just adopted two kitties from the shelter. A male, McLovin, and a female, Roxy. We have had them for two weeks, and they were alot of fun. Saturday, we took them to the vet to get fixed. There was an emergency, and their surgeries got postponed until Monday morning. Monday afternoon, we went and got them. I knew they were going to be sore for a few days, so we had a very large wire kennel ready for them with a litterbox, bed, food, and water (small amounts). Tuesday I gave them their pain mess, and by Tuesday night, Roxy was feeling better, and wanting to play. We let them out if the kennel for about an hour, and McLovin wasn't acting the same as he was. He wouldn't come to me, (before, he was ALWAYS wanting me to hold him and touch him), wouldn't even purr when I pet him. I even tried his favorite kitty treats, and he wouldn't touch it. So I just assumed he was still in pain. Wednesday came and went, same thing. Thursday, we let them out of the kennel for good. Roxy was all about playing, and being her goofy self. McLovin hid most of the day. I noticed his nose was pale, and I called the vet at the shelter. They said it was normal. A COMPLETE personality change on a 3 month old kitten is normal? I find that hard to believe. Opinions?

I do not think it is normal behavior in a male cat three days after a neuter and I would contact your vet again if it persists more than another 24 hours. I am moving this thread to the health forum where other people may have helpful comments.
