I posted a thread about Leo's vet visit on Monday for vomiting his meals about twice a week...

Now, three days later and he is sneezing enough that it can't be shrugged off.  Just curious....do you think he picked up a germ there or maybe the stress of the visit (he gets super stressed at the vet) kicked up a virus already in his system.  (I've read a lot of cats have the herpes virus always with them.)   He had a steroid shot too.  Could that be related?

Last time he was at the vet he started sneezing 3 weeks later.  There were no symptoms besides sneezing and  I didn't even realize it was a kitty cold until Eko caught it from him.  Eko did require a vet visit which led to an antibiotic shot which led to a lump at the injection site....  That makes me a little nervous about what will follow this time.

Since Leo never seemed ill last time and didn't require a vet visit, I'm going to keep an eye on him and make sure all kits are getting a good dose of their l-lysine supplement with their meals.  I'd hate to have to subject him to another vet visit unless absolutely needed.  Vet visits seem to be doing us as much harm as good lately.  (And I've never been one of those anti-doctor or anti-medicine people.  I guess as I get older I am becoming one a bit.)  I suppose the vet did help with Eko's cold last time and could have kept him from getting very ill...even if he did get a funny lump out of the antibiotic injection.  We also learned about l-lysine from the vet.

I guess my question is....do you think he got sick from germs at the vet or the stress of the visit?
