Last month Clarence, my 2001 red PT Cruiser, lost a hub cap somewhere along the line. As soon as I noticed it was missing (which I still think was fairly quickly), I went back and re-traced my route that day. No luck.

I checked every auto junk yard in the area to find a matching hub cap. Nothing. I even went to our local Chrylser dealership, but the price was ridiculous.

eBay to the rescue. I found a matching hub cap on Friday night. And when I got home from work yesterday, said hub cap was sitting at my front door. That was fast service!

So I put the hub cap on last night and while I was at it, I gave Clarence a bath and vacuumed and wiped down the interior. (Rick had been taking him back and forth to work and that poor car was really messy. When he was clean again, I think I heard him breathe a sigh of relief!)

He looked so good that I brought him into work this morning! Go Clarence!

I know the feeling---thank heaven for ebay.

I lost a hubcap from my 1967 Mustang a couple of years ago.  I have a Mustang part catalog, and could get a 'reproduction' for an obscene price.  So, I got on ebay and got 3 originals for less than half the price.

I love ebay

Several years ago, I broke a glass to my 12 Days of Christmas glasses. I was heartbroken as my parents had given them to us decades ago; Mom got them with S & H green stamps. And eBay came to the rescue. Rick got online right away, got me a replacement glass and, while he was at it, be bought another set, so that I'd have replacements if I got clumsy again.

Not too long after that, I was looking for another Three Mountaineers vintage spice cabinet. I had one that I bought with green stamps back in the early 1970s. But I wanted another one as I was running out of bottles with the old set. Off to eBay and found one exactly like the one I already had, except the spice jars were different, which was not an issue. Now they're both hanging on a wall in my kitchen, one right above the other.

There are times when eBay is certainly the answer. I love eBay, too.

My father was a door to door milkman. :). I've been buying items off of eBay from the dairy he worked for when I was a kid. I've gotten glass milk and baby bottles, a milk box and a wooden milk crate. :)

I LOVE eBay!  I buy almost everything there. It's also the first place I go when I'm trying to find something particular.  I soemtimes have problems with it, but all get solved eventually.  I like the fact that my routine shopping earns eBay bucks; those do add up.

Winchester, is that little store/place that has the hubcaps on a screen outside still up your way? I know it's somewhere on Rt.30 W.  When I used to drive to Gettysburg, I also laughed when I saw it.
