Hello,

I'm Rachael & my baby is Winston. I stumbled across this site last night looking for imformation on feline asthma, Winston has recently been diagnosed & last night he was having such a bad time with his coughing & mucus in his throat. He's been put on steroid tablets, we're into the second day of them & so far nothing seems to be getting better. Has anybody else got/had a cat with this problem? if so is there anything you can suggest to me to help ease the coughing. I feel so horrible seeing him like this.

Hi Rachael and welcome to TCS!
I'm sorry poor Winston is suffering with asthma. I would suggest starting a thread in the Health Forum about him and I'm sure more members with experience of this would see it.

I'm a little late; but welcome to TCS!  I would also suggest starting a thread in the Health forum.  I know I've heard of it before.  The folks in there seem to have a borad range of experiences with all things kitty.  I hope your poor baby is feeling better!!  I know when I was on steroids for an allergic reaction it took 2 kinds and a good week of being on them for the reaction to really go away.
