My cat is 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant, over the last week she has had a really bad cold that turned into an infection. 3 days ago the vet gave us some antibiotics and the last 2 days her health is seeming to improve. She hasnt been eating or drinking much at all though, and the vet gave her a shot for dehydration as well. So I at least expected the kittens to be malnourished. She started contracting about an hour ago, and had her first kitten about 20 minutes ago, and it was dead. She has had a 2nd one which was breathing, but died soon after, and I think the after birth or sack is stuck inside her. No vets, or ERs are open today. What should I do?

Sometimes this happens when queens are not in good health.  There needs to be a placenta passed for each kitten.  If it did not pass then you will have to take her to the vet ASAP and he/she will likely give a shot to induce the passing of the placenta or spay her.  If there are no more live kittens in her then a spay would be in order since there is no one to nurse.

Why do you think the placenta is stuck in her, did you not see it come out?  Are you feeling a mass?  If you are feeling something there, it may be additional kittens born later, or you may just be feeling a swollen uterus.

Cats dont manage born premature well, unlike humans.  So all kittens will die. They could perhaps make it with one week prematurly, if they got lotsa help, but not now.  Way too early.

So there will be no nursing. If you have ANY plans or needs for spaying, you can do it anytime, so to speak.

Unless you are a breeder and want to try to keep her as your mother queen. Talk with the vet in this case, he may find a way  Otherwise, spay, now or later when she is fully recovered from this cold.

Yes, why do you think the placenta is stuck?  Did you observe the whole time?? They can be quick with eating up the placentas, easy to miss it...

Welcome, and

Good luck!

Ps. How did the kittens looked? Were they visibly premature? Hairless, smallish etc?

Or did they looked more or less as usual?  If the second, you may had perhaps counted wrongly, and they may be more or less just in time??   If so, they may survive yes...  In that case, fight on if there are more to come out...

ps 2.  so your main concern is the mom and her life.  Keep her warm and cosy, not stressed, let her have lotsa of water.  If necessary, prepare to forcefeed with water or some diluted wet food.  You know how to do it?  In the corner of the mouth, NOT into the neck.

Is 6 weeks 2 days correct or a typo?  If correct then there's not much you can do - the kittens are 3 weeks premature and will be tiny, hairless and unable to sustain life.  So sorry.  You need to look after mum and take her to the vets tomorrow if you have any doubts that everything has been passed.

I'm curious what happened here.  I'm assuming if your dates are correct that the kittens were hairless and had no chance of surviving unfortunately.  Is the mother ok?
