Hi Everyone! :)

I forgot to introduce myself on this site.... I am very glad to be here, and meet others who love their kitties as much as I love my old girl...

I only have one cat right now, her name is Tiocy(pronounced Tee Oh See) She is almost 17. We thought we were going to have to put her to sleep this year but she is still holding on. We took her into the vet and she was put on steroids to help her breathing better, but I have to shove a pill down her throat everyday and she hates it and the stress from it makes her get sick and we have just decided that we are going to stop. She has lived a long time, and has had a good life, I want the rest of her time to not be stressful. So, while alot of people disagree with our decision, we feel it is in her best interest. Unfortunately, that brings me to the realization that my kitty is getting old and probably won't be here much longer... So, we are trying to enjoy her as much as we can while she is still here.....

Anyway.... My name is Summer and I live in WA state with my husband and 3 daughters. We have two chows, Chi-Ching and Mao Mao. And we raise Netherland Dwarf rabbits....

Good luck with your sweet baby.  It's so hard when they get older and we have to start making those decisions!

Thank you very much... it is especially hard with her for me, because I have raised her since the day she was born.... She has been through everything with me.
 

Yeah.  It's like....aren't they supposed to live forever?

Welcome to TCS! She is a beautiful old gal, certainly does not look her age. I hope you still have a long time with her.

Thanks, she is a tiny little thing too... We have been 'watching' her for almost 11 years, she started having breathing and purring issues then. When we got her fixed at 6 years old, the vet thought she was only 6 months old. She weighs like 2 1/2 - 3 pounds... she is really small.

I posted this pic on the breeder area, but I will post this pic again, it is Tiocy with one of our Netherland Dwarf babies, Mimic (we raise them) - he was about 6 weeks in this pic with her... she thinks all the bunnies are her babies LOL And the kids, and the dogs, and well, pretty much everything...
