Over the river and through the woods...
So we finally got my MIL's pool up and running this weekend so cooling off is definitely on the agenda for later today
. Do you like to swim? I'm not a big fan of swimming per say; you will never catch me swimming laps or anything. However, I AM a huge fan of floating on a raft and drinking beer!

I don't swim laps, but I love going in pools just to cool down. I want to get a pool but we don't have a backyard, just a side/front yard that isn't fenced in. When we buy a house, I definitely plan to have a pool.

We have geothermially heated public swimming pool all over. I like going and relaxing in the hot tubs but have never liked swimming untill about a year ago, when I started going regularily swimming and then relaxing in the hot tub. Then my card expired and I haven't been for a while....must start going again!  :)

We've had our in-ground pool now for over 25 years. The best thing after working all day out in the hot sun is taking a dip! I just love our pool. It's nothing fancy at all and it isn't very big.....15 x 30, an oval. But it cools me off when I really need it. And when I have a day off from work, I will make our dinner early in the morning, let the meat marinate all day long, throw together a salad to go with, and get my work done. By 11:00 or so, I'm in the pool and I'll stay there until Rick gets home around 4:00 or so.  I'll lounge on a raft or a chair and then when I get too hot, I'll dump myself into the water to cool back down. I will do laps and such when Rick or somebody is here to keep an eye on me, just to make sure something doesn't happen.

I can swim. Rick couldn't swim until we put the pool in, then he learned, too.

I also love going into the pool around 11:00 at night. I jump in and the water is chilly. But then, I get out and into the chilly night air. Jump back in and the water feels like a warm bath. I like to lounge on my back with my feet crossed and watch the stars in the sky.

I love swimming. we have never had anything bigger than a kiddie pool. I grew-up beside a lake. The water was cold, but my Mom couldn't keep me out of there. As soon as the ice came off the lake I was in it. Rain or shine. where we live now there is no lake only a dangerous river. My hang out in the hot tub

I love love love love love to be in the water!!  I could spend all day swimming and floating around.  I'll even get in DD's kiddie pool with her.  Hehe.  I would love a pool of our own but I dont think we quite have enough open land.  We have a septic system so it kind of messes with things.

I can swim because we belonged to a swim club throughout my childhood, but constant middle ear infections turned me off swimming. I love soaking in hot springs, though.

How are the swimming lessons organized where you all live? Is  it connected to the school or do you have to find/pay for it yourself?

Here, swimming lessons are a part of school  education, so we don't pay for it, but also we have no saying if we have it or not. There are swimming lessons in the school programs from 1. class and up  untill 10th class. (I might be mistaken, they might take the final exam in 9. grade now.)   Close to every shool there is a heated outdoor swimming pool, so we (and all the school cildren) can go swimming all winter, in snow and icy weather.
