Where is your favorite place to visit?
If you mean abroad, deffinately Scotland.

Here I love the place where my grandfather and great grandfather had a piece of land and built a great summerhouse right by a large lake in a beautiful natural place, really my favorite place on earth, my roots are there.  Heaven on earth!

What have you done yet, to prepare for Christmas?

I've already finished my Christmas shopping a couple weeks ago. :)

We don't usually decorate much, so there's not much left for me to do aside from wrap the gifts. In a way it's kind of anticlimactic lol. I wouldn't mind doing more.

What article of clothing do you like (either wearing it, or just its appearance) the very least?

Faux glasses. As someone who wears corrective lenses and was made fun of the couple years I wore glasses in middle school, I very much dislike the people who wear fake glasses. It's made even worse because the people who wear fake glasses are invariably the same people who made life miserable for kids who actually did need glasses while they were growing up. It also doesn't help that the glasses these people wear are usually the thick-rimmed, Buddy Holly hipster glasses that I dislike even when they are prescription.

What is your favorite holiday movie?

Disney's old cartoon A Christmas Carol. I watched it every year as a kid. Pure nostalgia, of course.

Who was your favorite teacher in school, and why?

My favorite teacher was Mrs. Glosecki. She was my Latin teacher. Of course, she wasn't my favorite teacher at that exact time because she was so strict. But I learned a great deal from her and learned a great deal about different cultures and languages from her. I also noticed how compassionate she was to other students that were having personal issues and how she was able to help them. She was an all around excellent teacher.

What other animals besides cats do you have, if any, and how many?

I would if it wasn't too cold here to keep a nice garden.

I have three or four favorites... but the one that usually comes to mind first is Little Drummer Boy.

Do you have a favorite Christmas tree ornament that you use every year (and if so, what is it)?

Yes I do.  It is a Waterford ornament with "Baby's First Christmas" engraved on it.  My mother got it for me when I got my first cat, Hoot LOL!

It´s a  Wonderful Life.  I didn't know it was a "Chrimstmas"  movie, I just loved it  and saw  it a few times before I later stayed the US for a while and realized it was a Christmas movie and that it was  always run on Christmas Eve, which I find a great tradition. :)

Is there something in you daily life  that you made yourself, like clothing, furniture...

I'll play!
I have several macramé hangers for planters that I made years ago.

I also work on ceramics from time to time and did a gorgeous mushroom canister set for my mother. When she died, it became mine.

I've done some crewel work and have a picture in the hallway.

Oh, and some latch-hooked rugs. They're strewn about the house.

Lastly, my cookbooks. I've done three of them now and am working on my fourth. I don't sell them or anything....it's more of a family thing.

Hope that kind of stuff counts, even though it's more of a hobby thing.

What's your favorite vegetable and how do you prepare it?

If you mean with my husband and children, then yes, every day. Well, I cook with my husband every day and quite often we bake or cook all together.

Did you or are you going to travel anywhere this summer?
