Here's some pictures of some of the kitties. No picture of Ares- he has gone to his new loving Furever home, with my sister-in-law and her family! They are also the ones who saved the first kitten out of the litter of four and then brought me the other three (Violet, Lily, and Daisy). I know he will be VERY well taken care of. And i'll be able to post some adult pictures of him as well! I've also asked adopters to send me updates if at all possible once the babies leave me. :(

Zeus @ 8 1/2 weeks (found him in the dog food bowl hahaha), he leaves Sunday:

Athena @ 8 1/2 weeks old. She'll be leaving Sunday with her brother Zeus:

Aphrodite @ 8 1/2 weeks old (can't you see the mischief in her eyes? She's a handful). She's leaving June 23rd:

Hercules (my little Ham) @ 8 1/2 weeks old. Staying with me furreverrrrrr:

Daisy @ 8 1/2 weeks old. She left to her new loving home yesterday. I already miss her so much:

Violet @ 8 1/2 weeks old. She will be leaving Monday:

My newest rescue, Uno. Last of a litter that was dropped off at the AA hall in my town, had a friend bring him over. He was covered in fleas, but is now flea-less due to many baths with Dawn and a lovely flea comb. I believe he's about 6 weeks old, and has someone showing interest:

lazy Lily @ 8 1/2 weeks. Still looking for forever home. She's such a lovebug it's ridiculous, and I love her two back feet!:

Gemma, who will be leaving to her new home June 30th!:

Felicity, who will be leaving to her new home June 30th:

Anne, who is still waiting for her new loving forever home! Will be able to leave June 30th:

Kartik, my little black ball of fluff. Has someone showing interest in him:

I'm so glad i've found them almost all homes too, that I feel very confident they will be loved and well taken care of in. Ares was the first to leave- he is living with my boyfriend's sister and her family, then Daisy left- to a girl I know/friends with on FB so I can see picture updates. She is also taking Uno as a friend for Daisy, he will be leaving Saturday. Zeus and Athena left to their new home today, and on a spur-of-the-moment Father's Day gift Lily is now owned by my boyfriend's step-dad and mom, so I will get to see her grow up as well. Violet leaves tomorrow, to a high school friends mom. Aphrodite leaves on Saturday to a home with an 18-year-old cat, and Felicity will be going to the home of the daughter of the woman who is adopting Aphrodite on June 30th. Gemma leaves June 30th to our good friends. I am keeping Hercules.

So I will for sure be able to see picture updates, and for some kittens- in person of: Ares, Lily, Daisy, Uno, Gemma, Violet, and- obviously Hercules.

I asked the older woman who adopted Zeus and Athena if she could send us any picture updates but she said she's not good with the computer and uploading. I think I might ask if it's not too much trouble to maybe get a yearly picture in the mail or something.. is that too much to ask? I'll also be asking the families taking Aphrodite and Felicity to send updates as well, so hopefully they will be fine with that.

That leaves TWO left to place. Out of THIRTEEN. It's been insane trying to find these babies loving homes, I really was thinking I might end up with 5 kittens no one wanted and would have no idea what to do with them.. I couldn't keep them all, there's no way.

Anne and Kartik are left. My aunt's friends are going on a vacation the first week of July. After that, they'd really like to adopt- these two kittens will be about 9 1/2 weeks old then, and they said they will definitely be taking one. I did have a close friend from high-school show interest in Kartik... but i'm not too sure how stable she is financially and how good of a home she'd give him. I'm going to talk to her more to get a better understanding of whether she's ready for this responsibility or not. It's just going to be awkward if I have to tell her I don't think she's fit to raise the kitten.

Thank you all for your comments! I think they're absolutely precious too, best kittens ever- but of course, i'm a little biased
. Really wish I could keep them all though, going through a little bit of a depression with the house seeming so empty...

It is so hard to give them away.  I found a pregnant stray, and she had 7 kittens 3 weeks after she came to live with me.  When i brought the first two to their new home, I couldnt help it, I started crying.  I knew they were going to a great home, but its just so hard to let go of them.  It was unexpected for me to react the way I did when I had tried so hard to find them homes. I knew I couldnt keep them all, but they really had become a part of me.

You are amazing for finding all those homes! I know it couldnt have been easy.  Out of my 7, I ended up having to keep 2 plus mama.  Not that I regret that, they are awsome kitties.

Oh, believe me- I know how hard it is to get rid of them. The ONLY reason I can even honestly say i'm not keeping more is because I already have so many from previous litters i've saved- Tiva and Indy from the 2011 feral litter. Onyx and Stella from the 2010 feral litter.
And I have all of the outside kitties to feed as well... adds up. So i'm not all that great at it... I always tell my boyfriend I wish we lived on a giant farm and I could have all of them in a giaaaaaant enclosure. Become known as being the crazy cat lady hahahaha. I know he would love it, he never denies it. You just get so connected to them all, and it feels so unfair keeping one or two and getting rid of others. I WANT THEM ALL!!!!

But if they're going to good homes--it's more like sending a kid off to college or something, isn't it? You're not losing them really; they're going out on their own, to a place where they can be just as happy as they were with you. That's one of the best sort of goodbyes.

When I fostered kittens an adopter said the neatest thing to "thank you so much for giving my baby such a wonderful home and getting him ready to come to me. Without you, I wouldn't be adopting such a wonderful friend.". I've always held that close, as a foster parent you are merely holding them while their forever home gets ready for them. That got me thru some pretty hard adoptions, that's for sure.

Your kittens are precious. Congrats on finding them homes!

Oh it is definitely the best sort of goodbye. I am confident knowing I am sending them to loving homes, it's just my own selfish wanting to have all of their little loveable personalities all to myself. I know that is not possible though, so I adopt them out and make room in my home for others needing help!

And thank you to you all!

My sister-in-law is out of town for four days, so we are 'kitty-sitting' Ares and their little calico Pandora (who was the first to be rescued of the litter of four including Daisy, Lily, and Violet). They are having too much fun and so sweet

9 1/2 week old Ares

Pandora:

Adoption stats are as follows:

- Zeus and Athena left Sunday, the 17th for their new home. I messaged the woman who took them asking how they are doing. No response as of yet (it usually took her a few days to get back to me anyways)

- Ares is living at my sister-in-laws house with his new fur friend, Pandora.

- Hercules is with me, and definitely knows he's here for good. He has no problem making it known to others that this is HIS house. Little bully (and ball of energy)

- Aphrodite had a potential adopter, but they were 'supposed' to be coming back into town today and getting her, I haven't heard anything the past 4 days.

- Violet is living in her new home with an 8 year old cat named Mary Jane. I was messaging the woman yesterday and she said they have bonded so much and that the two kitties are now attached at the hip. Their favorite is to take turns playing chase.

- Daisy is living in her new home, and awaiting a new fur friend to keep her company!

- Lily is living with my mother-in-law and has adjusted very well. She runs the house and is very keen on my other sister-in-law.

- Uno is supposed to leave within the next couple of days to go live with Daisy!

- Gemma is spoken for by close friends, she will be leaving next Saturday.

- Felicity was spoken for by the woman's daughter who was going to adopt Aphrodite, so I don't know where that stands.

- Anne is still looking for a furever home

- Kartik is still looking for a furever home.

My aunts friends are 100% positive they will want a kitten July 10th when they are back from vacation. So I have at least one more home lined up.
