Yes I mean lunch meat. They even like small amounts of cream cheese from my finger I know u aren't supposed to feed them too much human food. The vet is aware of this and he said some is ok but not too much. And I always buy water tuna not oil tuna.

Just a thought - lunch meat contains nitrates - doesn't it? I always try to avoid lunch meat, myself, because of all the preservatives thinking they are causing health hazards in my body.
tuna: contains not only magnesium - a urine crystal producer, but probably contains a lot of mercury. I usually stay away from tuna for my cats for these very reasons. :)

Yes, all in moderation, and occasional treats shouldn't be a problem. :)

Yeah, I have a similar philosophy for my pets (cats and dogs).  The table scraps are healthy food I've prepared for my family, so why should it somehow turn toxic inside a cat?  I think they like to get a little variety here and there as well.  I don't like giving them certain things, though.  Two of my cats will try to eat things like crackers and popcorn and I really don't think those are good for them.

I honestly don't get why they like some of the things they enjoy eating, though.  Maybe because my cats have all been adopted strays, but they seem to have pretty weird appetites.  The one tamed feral I used to have actually tried to eat spaghetti out of a pot on the stove while it was cooking!  Crazy boy!  He had to be kenneled while we ate dinner, too, because he was a bold and very rude stealer of food from off our plates.

Not all foods that are safe for humans are safe for cats.

I have a cat who goes crazy for spaghetti sauce, tomato soup, anything with a tomato sauce base, too. She also likes pasta and rice, potato soup, and salad dressing. And like your boy, she will steal right from the pot on the stove. While I do let her have a drop of tomato sauce when I am having it, I don't give her the other things. Cats aren't supposed to have starchy foods. :)

Ramsey and Swiffer are horrible little beggars. They'll grab something right off your plate if you don't watch it. Ramsey just screams for any kind of pork I'm cooking. Both will go after chicken. Swiffer especially likes fried chicken for some reason and I don't want her to have any of the skin that's been fried or any of the meat that has been fried. Both also like mashed potatoes. Go figure

Yes, you're right.  That's more or less what I meant to say.  I do let my cats eat table scraps that are good for them, like if I have chicken breast and veggies for dinner, they can certainly have a piece of chicken!  Like I said, they like things that I don't think are good for them, like crackers, popcorn, or spaghetti.

Depends on the ingredients.  The ingredients are what they are.  A cat's digestive tract can't read food labels, so whatever the product is marketed as, if it's 100% pureed chicken, then that's what it is.
