Hi Everyone

So I got an urgent plea from a friend of mine who just simply can't take care of her cat anymore. (he is 4), his name is Mr Kitty Estabaon, whatever

I agreed to take him in until I can find him a home (she didn't want to take him to a shelter) He is coming on Monday and I'm excited!! He is absolutely adorable.

Just a couple of concerns,

1. I should get him somehow "aqauinted" with Smokie & Bandit right?

2. If I can't find him a home, I really don't know that I need to have 3 cats in this apt so it's a toss up.

She says he goes by Mr Kitty or Estabon. What an adorable name!!

Also, my friend says he has a little bit of bengal in him-- What do you guys think, what kind is he? Here is his pic

He's adorable but I see no Bengal in him....he's a beautiful brown tabby.

I hope you can find him a home quickly but I would start reaching out to rescue organizations right now for some help. If I can remember correctly, you posted not too long ago about potentially having to give up one of your cats because the limit for your apartment was one. If that's the case, you are putting this new kitty in a position to have to go to another temporary situation if you are caught. Try to go ahead and get him into a no kill shelter.

Best of luck to this poor kitty

Agree with RAFM.

IF you can find him a good home yourself, it will be prob the best. .

Try to acquint him with your residents?  It is not necessary by itself.

It depends on how long you think he will stay with you, how big is your flat.  If he does need fostering, learning to live with other cats too?   Btw, do you have children, own of neighbour or friends children,  so you could learn him to accept children?

As you do say "foster", not lodging or trying to find a home for friends cat.

I presume he has no health issues, and thus, you dont need to have any real quarantine for him?

If in doubt, begin with quarantine and preferably a vet check up.

Good luck!

AWWW Estabon is VERY handsome!!! And I love that name, suits him. :) I would make sure you keep him separated from your other two kitties for a week until Estabon is feeling comfortable in his new home. Do the introductions very slowly... hopefully this article will help! http://www.thecatsite.com/a/introducing-cats-to-cats It was so wonderful of you to agree to take on this cat and I hope it all works out the way you want :happy3: :cross: :vibes: Keep us posted!!!!!
