i promise i am not lazy, but as typing this all over again will just stress me out more i am copy and pasting from another board. I was refered here for help
The latest update is at the bottom of all this.

trying to keep the back history concise but IT WILL BE LONG, you have been warned (UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM)

there are four pets here, two cats and two dogs. the two dogs are primarily outside dogs and small, a chihuahua and a wiener dog because i don't know how to spell the proper name. the cats get along with the dogs so they are not an issue

I have a cat, Her name is Fluffy because when I got her as a kitten she was so small that i could barely see her face from the ball of fluff that she was. Due to this she is a runt or rather i call it being stuck in the in between kitten and adult cat size. she is almost five years old.

She has allergies to flea dander and when she does have fleas scratches and scratches until she is raw sometimes bleeding. Ever since I got her to Louisianan she went from being a long haired cat to medium length because she shed so much to adapt that for a short time she was almost bald. when she did adapt her hair length besides her tail was drastically shorter but still of a decent length.

there is another cat here, a big fat mean cat that doesn't bully her physically but does give her stare downs and sits close to her being menacing as if being that shadow that always hovers over her. they USED to play and get along mostly. something changed that she now hangs out in the windows of the house to the point she falls down because she won't come down beyond to eat and use her litterbox. she tries sleeping up there and because of that falls and loses her balance.

I have done all i can, shown her love, gotten her spaces for her to sit on and given her softer food, changed to better for her litter the occasional soft canned food. everything
only to have the other cat steal her food, snipe her litterbox (getting to that) and take all her spots

and about the litterbox. when i got fluffy she had trouble with the other three cats where I USED to live to the point they disliked her there SO MUCH they peed on any and everything on the floor or in reach to tell her we don't want you here. so to save her sanity i moved her to my room and got her her own litterbox. I KNOW cats are supposed to share boxes but its my fault she doesn't. so she has her own

I give both cats equal attention and love and punishment via the spray water bottle.
if fluffy ever goes outside its to see whats going on. without a doubt something scares her and she runs to the shed and hides able to sneak under the doorway due to unlevel ground issues and cannot get out until someone opens the door for her.

i have dealt with my husband and father in law kicking her out of her last two comfort spots, areas she feels safe in but will still fall off of and just about confining her to her one last spot. as in moved her food and litterbox there. without telling me

i am about to get her her own cat tower near the window so she has her own place. and another for the other cat since i know if i don't the one will be hogged.
i don't know what else to do since i cannot seem to educate these men about stop bullying my cat. by kicking her out of these spots she chose you are showing her you want her out even though its not true. i don't know why she clings to these spots either. i feel i failed her

UPDATE:

went to the vet this tuesday 6/12/12) morning. vet did the usual exam, noted that she was at the same weight she was when she first came here and confirmed with me that yes she did gain weight from the first time then lost it again by now.

He felt a mass in her bowels and to wanted to further examine and get a blood sample. To do that they needed to calm her down with some the gas version of feline anesthesia (small amount) and draw a blood sample. Sample checked out fine her levels are normal no kidney or liver issues and she woke up just fine. The mass felt like possibly a hairball trying to pass in her system which is bad i know.
Gave me some medicine to help her pass it and to give a half pill a day for 8 days and come back in two weeks if nothing has changed or she has gotten worse then its on to x-rays. to help the mass of hair pass if that is what it is, was advised to feed her more soft food and take away the hard food for a bit

Well...... A few things I see here....
The water bottle is no good.... I don't know where you saw that spraying a cat with a water bottle is a good thing, but it isn't - no punishment for a cat is a good thing, please stop that at once.... :(
Also, cats do very ofter use different litter boxes - rule of thumb is ione more litter box then the number of cats in the house - so that's not abnormal at all.
Wet food is the best for your girl - I would highly recommend cutting all dry food..... A grain free wet is the best diet, aside from raw.... IMHO. You can add a little canned pumpkin to her diet - 1 tbsp a day, mixed with her wet food (100% pure, NOT the sweetened pumpkin) - that will help to move things along, because of the fiber.
The grain free diet will help with the allergies, if she has allergies related to grains.
What are you feeding her?
A lot of times all this scratching can be due to allergies, and a lot of times it can be food related. Many many cats have problems with grains - dry foods are often packed with grains, and a lot of wet foods too.
You can try to go grain free wet and see what happens, or go to a novel wet diet (i.e. Natural Balance Venison and Green Pea, Salmon and green Pea, etc.) - where you would have only one protein and one starch and see it....
A cat tree is an excellent idea.....
And you do have to have a serious talk with the humans in the house - there is not much the cats can do..... But the humans can....
Sounds like these babies are terrified of their current living situation :(

Good luck..... :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

water bottle has been put up permantely

what i was feeding her via dry food was purina indoor formula. i remember it was the green bag. got so used to getting it at the store i remember by site, not name

soft food is friskies slices in gravy not pate not chunks and its a toss up of either beef or chicken

I have learned the dominant cat, Chaos has asserted her dominance among the house, and my cat Fluffy gets it, and the two canines get it. we as the humans still act like she isn't so her only option is to act dominant which often means staring down fluff. right now they leave each other alone.

I remember when i got fluffy in her soft kennel ( a collapsable one with soft bedding) she came up to fluff showing concern before leaving her be
it does not help my fears are running wild with me. Going to do my best to wait until she finishes her medication before freaking out,

For me she is still my kid and this is the first she has shown any drastic change in behavior besides climate and humidity change. We are supposed to be moving back to texas so when that happens hopefully that will help. not moving until august though

thank you for the advice doing the best i can to stay sane not just for me but for Fluffy

Yeah.... If it's Purina dry I would definitely stop it :/ better off without it..... Friskies Pate I hear are better ingredient wise , but she will aready be way better off by being on canned only
If you want to see yet better results.... try Natural balance, if your budget permits - that will be more related to the allergies  They sell that in most pet stores.

(The LID Limited Ingredients Diet) line :wavey:

Fluffy doesn't have food allergies but alot of skin sensitivity issues and once a week sometimes two in the winter i give her hairball treatment.

I have this only i have chicken, beef and chicken and salmon. all in gravy
as they won't  eat any other kind. i tried i promiseand now she seems to have bruised her tail from falling off the window sill. going to try and make it through the weekend and let her chill out

at least she feels comfortable enough to get off the windowsill and come to me for attention. she has been making in her box both one and two so stuff is getting through. no bigger than normal sized things yet for her.
also will look into the Natural Balance. the one locally owned pet store around here that sold things you wouldn't find in store and some vet closed shop so some brands are hard to find even in petsmart

keeping vigil watch on Fluff now. will check back in when i can

I call Fluffy Fluff sometimes sorry for any confusion

I am not sure what you are saying, promising you tried? :dk:
Also, I would be concerned with her constantly falling from the sills... That is NOT normal :nono: cats don't just fall like that all the time.... You keep posting that....

sorry for the long silence

took fluffy to the vet, got her taken care of. she passed her hair ball and is fine. got her cleaned up as she had some scabs. flea medicine and a new space for her. got her a cat cozy where she can either sit inside, or on top and has toys attached

basically focused on her to make sure she was at her best. separated her from the other cat so that they each have their own part of the house. she has lost some weight due to fur loss as we are going through another heat wave. this has happened before as she was born a longhair cat and the vet has reassured me this is normal she will be ok.

giving her wet food twice a day. big cans and giving her half in the morning and half at night and occasional soft treats for good behavior.

i believe that because i am stressing out over getting ready to move she is feeling that. right now i am just packing what i need and then making a return trip for fluffy and the rest as i don't want to leave her behind.

also when watching closely she wasn't falling she was losing her balance due to lack of sleep so i was wrong.
