I guess I really do lead a boring life!   The highlight of today is the return of Dallas to TV.  I followed it faithfully when it was originally on and can't wait to see it tonight.      Any other Dallas fans out there?

Watched it last night and it was "ok".     I liked the old series a lot better.    Larry Hagman (JR) is really weird looking now ---- his eyebrows look like wings.    Linda Gray is aging nicely.     I was kind of bored thru the show and it seemed to drag on.

I also liked Falconcrest when it was on and loved "Dynasty".

I liked the original but the I thought the sequel was disappointing. I usually am disappointed with sequels though.,

I missed it!!!!! Was busy. But is sounds like it was not that great anyway. Will try to see the next one. I am thinking nothing can compare or compete with the original Dallas anyway.

I watched Dallas in the past but preferred Dynasty.  What turned me off of Dallas was the whole "dream season"

I taped and watched the first 2 episodes of the sequel. It wasn't bad. I'll keep watching for now.

I agree about the "dream" sequence.     Kind of weird to say a whole season was a dream -- but I guess there was no other way to bring Bobby back.

I loved Dynasty --- our rainbow kitty "Ali" was named "Alexis "   - after the Joan Collins character in Dynasty (Alexis Carrington).   Joan Collins wore lots of black and white - and Ali was a tuxedo.  Also Ali had the same disposition as  Alexis!!!  (don't get me wrong - we adored h er -   but she was a little you know what at times.

I also liked to watch Falconcrest.

I don't remember that, but they had him in a "facility" due to a deep depression at the beginning of the new series :dk:

How can they continue the story? I thought JR died at the end of the old series...
If I remember correctly, the end of the old series had JR losing all his family, etc., alone at Southfork, he went upstairs and the last thing you heard was a gunshot.  So they left the end really open to your imagination---did he kill himself, did he just shoot a gun?
