We adopted a beautiful rag doll female 6 years old & we named her Lola.  Lola stopped eating almost immediately after we got her home and we had to resort to force feeding her. Then she turned jaundice from hepatic lipidosis. She started to eliminate outside of the litter box so we had to confine her in the laundry room where sits quietly in the laundry room closet in the bunny pose. We have been force feeding her for a week now and she just starting appear stronger & is not longer sitting in the bunny pose. I wrap her in a towel like a baby and she doesn't put up much of a fight. I syringe the food into her mouth giving her ample time to rest between mouthfuls cooing to her all the while telling her what a good girl she is. We were told by the shelter we adopted her from that had we not adopted her when we did she would not have survived as they were not aware she had not been eating. Hopefully we can get Lola past this & back to good health!

How is Lola doing?  What a great thing you are doing for her.  I guess you did take her to the vet.  Did they do any tests to try to figure out why she stopped eating?  Did they try giving her fluids.  If shes not eating, shes probably not drinking either, and may need fluids to feel better and start eating agiain.  Good luck with her.  Poor baby.
