I love seeing people posting weights, was feeling that if the age in days (or weeks and days) was there the information would be even more useful.  What would be the most use of all is to collate them all into a scatter graph using Excel.  Will have a think about how to do that one.

OK, had a go typing in weights above and this is what it looks like:

Now I need to think of how people can email me their data in a way that makes it easy for me to add to my spreadsheet - the more the better.

What you can see above is how linear the growth curve is.

Its interesting to see it drawn up that way!

I have a question about socializing the kittens. Already Dottie, salem and ginger are ok with being held (occasional mew) but Patch kinda mew/screams loudly for his mum which puts mum on edge to. They are um 11 days i think now so my question is should i wait longer to socialize patch or keep trying?

Here are Dotties first steps as promised :)

Keep handling patch, if you stop, it will become more difficult to handle him instead of easier. Some kitties are more sensitive than others about it. Our Claire, for instance, wasn't handled much in her first 7 weeks and now, at 4 years of age, we still can't handle her very well. She screams and carries on like we're killing her if we pick her up. Her brother and sister did just fine with learning to be handled.

With kittens that you've been around since birth- it's not really 'socialization' because they have been around your touch, scent, voice their entire lives (in comparison to socializing 3 - 4+ week old feral kittens who have had no human contact). Sounds like Patch is very vocal... or the mommas boy. If you are putting him down immediately every time he mews, it's likely he'll realize this and continue to scream. Try talking to him in a soothing voice while gently petting him while holding. Try holding him with another sibling touching him at the same time, or bundling him up so he feels warm and safe while holding him. You could also attempt to hold him after he's done nursing or falling into sleep which might make him a little calmer. Stay on a low level with momma and always have him visible to her so she is not as stressed- talk calmly to momma as well and let her know you're not hurting her baby. Pet momma while you're holding him to ease some tension. With every newborn litter i've had, I held every day- usually multiple times a day, and had no problems with momma or babies. You might just have a VERY loud kitty, which will only get MORE fun as he gets older
lol

that is so cute are u keepin all the kittens are givin them away?
Ginger is supposed to be going to my daughters friend, their dad possibly has cat allergies though so it depends if he has.

Another friend is having Dottie we think.

We are keeping Salem.

No home for patch as yet.

We did have homes for all but people always say they want one then muck you about changing their minds which is kinda annoying. Until i see the babies off to their new homes nothing is set in stone i guess :/

He is a complete mummys boy, when he does get bk with her he snuggles around her neck lol! I don't put him down when he screams I try to keep it to around 5 minutes for him atm. I also hold him at mums level so she can see him, and i try to pet her to reasure her which isnt that easy as he is SO wriggly lol. Never thought about holding him with a sibling so i might try and hold him with Dottie as she is the most laid back of them all lol! I did try when he was fed and sleepy though it seems to make no difference, its like he has mum radar and knows the minute he is more than 5 inches from her lol!

Anyone remember they used to have this game in the newspaper called spot the ball? Well for those that dont.. basically they would post a pic of a football game and photoshop out the football and you had to mark a little x marks the spot where u thought it was. Anyway getting to my point hehe, the bed I bought for kitty is a dalmation print igloo. We put the kittens and kitty in there to see how she liked it lol. Well we laughed so hard when we saw the two black and white ones in there, its like spot the kitten hehe!

Here's a pic of Kitty with kittens in her new bed (its actually a place for her to chill when she wants a break from the babies and for when they go to their new homes it will be her new bed)!

LMAO yeah airbrushed that was the word i was looking for, it ended up being put as photoshopped because i couldnt remember the correct words at the time, in my defence it was late last night when i edited it (my excuse and im sticking to it) hehe!
