Your kittens are so cute. One of yours Dottie I think looks SO much like my Bailey. Especially with the spot on the chin. Bailey all grown up is my avatar, and I think I have uploaded some pictures of him as a wee little baby, to my profile.

Home from the vets, she checked over Dottie and the other kittens (you guys were right about the sex of them btw lol), Dotie now has some antibiotics for her eye and she checked Kitty out while she was there and trimmed Kittys claws!

Ok I have a question :)

How long do you continue to weigh the kittens everyday? Do you switch to a weekly weigh in or something?

I stop when they don't fit the scales - three weeks old for the last litter I fostered.

so did you stop altogether or just do it weekly? I mean atm they do fit on the scales (although one paw in the wrong place can turn them off lol), i guess I'm just wondering if its ok to switch to weekly for convenience.

I stopped completely - they were sliding of the side of the scales, I couldn't get an accurate reading.

mine do a death grip on the sides of it which makes it hard to pick them up after lol. Tails are another issue, they are usually over the numbers your trying to read lol! I might weigh them tommorow then weigh them again next wednesday. Then they will be 4 weeks and well weaning time >_<

Sooo Dottie has learnt how to climb out of the box >_<

The others watch her like they are all taking it in ready to try it themselves lol!

Tommorow my dads going to make them a play pen, one big enough for their bed (which i will cut the side off), a kitten litter tray and room for food bowls and toys. Basically big as the living room floor i guess lmao.

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas for little home made type toys to amuse the kittens? Or anything else that might be useful at this point?

I love the kitty play yard!!!!!  They can run and have fun in a safe, enclosed area.  They are SUPER cute!!!!!!!!  I just love the white one with the little black mustache, LOL!!

Yeah we call him Charlie now cos he looks a little like charlie chaplin. He bit me the other day i was like omg charlie bit me lmao!

But yeah the playpen is great, the kittens had learnt to climb out of their kittening box and Kitty has NEVER picked up her babies idk why. So we figured it was safer this way, plus it reasures the babies, they can explore in a safe contained inviroment but its not this huge seemingly endless scary landscape  :)

Weekly weigh in...

Salem 530g +99

Ginger 548g +122

Dottie 491g +46

Patch 585 +110

Im a little concerned about Dotties weight gain it equals out to like 6.5g a day, should i go back to weighing her daily? Or is this ok and down to her being very active these days? The kittens are exactly 4 weeks today. Any advice greatly recieved ty :)

I personally wouldnt worry, she has still gained and is over 1 pound. She is right where she should be for a 4 week old kitten.
