We have a 12 year old Siamese mix female. She weighs about 8 lbs. she seems to be loosing a little weight. We have noticed a gurgling/growling in stomach, sometimes we hear it over the tv and louder than her purring, it is rather loud. This does not seem to bother her and she is eating regularly and using the litterbox regularly. She does occasionally vomit under our bed. Could this be some sort of a blockage in her intestines? Any recommendations other than take her to the vet for hundreds of dollars in tests?

Hi there. :wavey:

Maybe she could have a gassy tummy? Or hungry?

It would be helpful to know what kind of food she eats, if her stools are usually normally, stuff like that. :)

I think a vet visit is the best way to be sure. An examination is around 60-70 dollars (at least here in Canada) and if it is something serious, it could be much more treatable and cost much less money if it is caught earlier.

But when her stomach starts growling like that, give her some treats and see if it stops. If so, it's most likely hunger. :lol3: My Cookie's stomach is always like that before breakfast and dinner.

Best of luck to you and your kitty. :vibes:
