Boyfriend got his cat back!

Picked him up from his mother's yesterday. It's strange seeing this big cat walking around since getting Gidget who's still quite small.
Only problems were having right now is Bobby hissing and growling at Gidget who only tried to play with him once and has since been trying to keep her distance (but is still curious), and Bobby using the furniture as a sctratching post. I know he was allowed to do that with Lori, but I will not tollerate it (nor do I want Gidget learning to do that).
I guess if Gidget was an older cat Bobby wouldn't be so hostile towards her since from what I know he's never been around any kittens. Only time will tell.

that Bobby accepts her soon and doesn't teach her too many bad habits.

Great that his cat is home!  Hope you'll look into a nice scratching post or pad (or more than one!)  You can find a great variety at any "pet" supply store, or online at http://www.catclaws.com.  

Well, Bobby's missing.
Came home to find feces smeared on the floor in the hallway, Gidget looking like she'd been through hell, and Bobby is no where to be found. This is concerning me.
Brian went to his mother's place to see if he was there and he wasn't. She's also not home and we won't be able to get ahold of her until morning.

Update:
Bobby just came walking in after my boyfriend opened the front door. He's looking fine, but we'll still be keeping a close eye on him (still would like to know how he got out). I might give Gidget a bath if her fur is still looking all matted and yucky tomorrow (or later today depending on how you look at it).
I had never known Bobby to be violent towards other cats so I'm finding all this to be quite odd.

I would also like to add that the other day I heard a loud commotion coming from my daughter's room and I rushed in there thinking he was attacking the kitten, but I instead find him at the window with his hair standing on end and going crazy over another cat sitting outside (it was basically like a one-sided fight 'cause the other cat was ignoring him).
