Surprise Surprise!

Can you guess who is sitting smack-dab in the middle of my lap right now?? OMG. She approached me very cautiously with many pauses, but here she is stretched out like she's been here her whole life. I can't believe this!

She just pulled my hand away from the keyboard so I could pet her AND I gave her a kiss on the top of her head.

Yeah, she's home and now we're a family.  Now the lessons about cats can begin. I'm very excited.

Congrats!!  You have shown a lot of patience with Turtle and it really done a lot to help her feel comfortable with you.  I am so happy for you.  That is  a great big step for both of you.

ok   now you've got me crying!   Such wonderful news.       I think Cheryl must be looking down and smiling at you and Turtle.     (and Bella too).   Pls keep us up to date and send pics if you can.       Congratulations on your new baby --- she knows you'll be good to her and provide a forever home.

This is great. I thought when she got close enough to investigate really close she was starting to trust you.

I've been following the progress but I didn't post because I really didn't have an advice to add, but it seems like you DID IT!! I have tears in my eyes right now after reading this! It's been a rough time for Turtle and for you too so I know this means a lot to both of you. Turtle may still be on and off for a while (it's still a big adjustment for her), but she is definitely making herself at home. Welcome to the family and we're here to help in anyway we can!

Totally - TCS is what got to her. Turtle Dove is known for getting on the computer during the night hours. AWWWWWWWWW Couldn't be more excited about this news

Awesome! I remember when our little Nicolai started warming up to us. It showed that he could be happy with us, and Turtle is ready to be happy again, too.
