I wanted to create a new thread for those of you who may have sick cats out there, and are looking for some help.
After we brought Riley home from the shelter, he was sick. Then it triggered something not so fun in our other two boys. It seemed like we'd take them to the vet, they would get medication, get better, and then be sick again a couple of months later.
The vet gave us some lysine treats and when we finished the bag, we moved on to the powder.
We also changed their food. And these two things together have given us back the kitties we once had. There's been no illness, no eye infections, no nothing. The Lysine powder gets poured onto their dry food (we use Wellness Core now) and I add a teeeeeny bit of water to it to make sure it's not left in the bottom of their bowls.
Yes, the cost of their food is higher, and we buy the lysine about 1x a month. But seeing how healthy they are has cut back HUGE in vet bills.
If you cannot really afford Wellness core, never fear. Still get the lysine powder. It will make a wold of a difference.
