I'm really happy that my son William (14) and Diana (cat) have developed such a bond. But seriously!! She was curled up on my lap giving me love when he got home. All he did was shout "Diana!" and POOF the cat was gone. She ran off to bask in backpack straps and Xbox games. It was bad enough that I do not get any hugs from the boy, but now he's showering the cat with snuggles and baby talk. The two of them are forming an anti-mom union. I just know it!

Good heavens, I hope not! LOL! Will already said his worst nightmare was a cat hating girl with allergies.
He asked me if they allow cats when he goes off to college. I was tempted to tell him NO!

My husband arrived home shortly after my post, and our male cat come down the stairs enough to meow at him. The husband said "I'm home, come on kitty kitty." and elusive kitty wanders in the room.

We adopted these two a couple of weeks ago and they are just settling in. I was certain with two cats I would get some loving.

I agree 100%! The organization I foster for has a new foster mom who is wonderful! She has a 15 year old son who ADORES cats, even followed one who appeared to be injured the other day with the hopes of catching her and helping her. (He wasn't able to unfortunately.) It is so nice to see men, especially young teens, loving cats. Warms my heart and gives me hope for future generations!

Will has always been a sap for cats. Last night Diana brought her cat wand down the steps "thump thump thump" We all looked around trying to figure out that it was. She dropped it right on Will's foot.Tomorrow I promised to video him and Diana playing. They are going to train and show all those dogs what real agility is about. My husband started this by tying a leash to his belt loop so that the cats will follow him from room to room. I am clearly out gunned.

When Mom accepted Dad's marriage proposal, she warned him that he will get not only a wife and a daughter (my sister), but also a cat. Eventually, her cat became his cat. :lol3:

He is a brat. There should be laws against cat thievery.

Ah, what a sweet story.  But I can relate...all my cats think the world revolves around DH.
Mine do, too. I do everything for them but he gets all the cuteness and play time. I do get cuddles at bedtime and that is pretty sweet.
