Yesterday my 4 year old kitty Edison was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. The prognosis is three months.
He has started drugs and yesterday 300(!!!!) cc's of fluid was drained from around his lungs. Needless to say, he is feeling better
today.
The vet recommended a low sodium diet. Right now everyone is on BlueBuffalo Evolutionary (Chicken) and Wellness Core grain free. I'm finding the lack of information about sodium levels in foods to be very frustrating. The vet is saying the foods should be between .30-.35 % sodium.
Is there resource that you may know of that lists sodium levels in foods?? I'm not having a lot of luck. I won't feed the SD low sodium as the food is carby trash.
Thanks for any help.
