Yay...this online dating thing is working!

Just wanted to give a small update on my online dating experience. Ric & I are still chatting almost daily. Same old chit chat...but he did ask if I'd like to meet him. That must be a good sign. He really is a nice guy with good morals & a fun attitude. I guess I'll find out if we have chemistry when we finally meet. I'm kind of nervous...God, I haven't been on a date in so long! I'm not sure if I know what to do!

Wish me luck! I'm hoping for the best, but if we just stay friends I'm quite happy with that.

BTW...here's a pic of him. He's definitely starting to grow on me. At first I wasn't sure if I was attracted to him, but now that I'm gotten to know him more he's more attractive to me other than physically.

I hope it works out for you....my oldest brother who has been lonely and looking for love for quite awhile now, found the most WONDERFUL woman in a Christian chat room online. They talked for ages, and then met....he married her a few months ago and she is just awesome!!! A real sweetheart!!! It made me realize that true love CAN be found on the internet!

Awww thanks Guys! Ric's from Lincoln (that's about 70 miles away)...no date it set yet though. I work ALL week & weekend...so this week is shot. I asked him to give me some possible dates that would work for him and I'd see if I'd be free one of those days. Since he's a nurse, I'm sure he's got crazy work schedules too. Oh what it would be like to have a 9 to 5 job!

Haven't heard back from him tonight...he's most likely working. But I'll let ya'll know what I find out & what happens!

Debby...I'm hoping he's that hot in person! That's one of my biggest fears...what if they look NOTHING like their picture. That happened to me last year..what a disaster!

Hedi, thanks! I've done the online dating thing a few times...one very successful and one not so successful. I ALWAYS meet them in a public place! Not sure where we're going to meet, but I'm thinking a mall. It's not that I don't trust him, but malls always have a ton of people in there...so the chances of someone seeing him & I are pretty good.

I'm excited...I just hope that I'm everything he thinks I am!

Sess, that pro athlete guy blew me off. He's the one who emailed me first, but then he never responded back. So, I gave him a piece of my mind! I told him that he should have the descency to let a person know if you are not interested...and a few other things that shouldn't be said on this family site!

As for Ric, when he didn't respond back after a few days I wrote him a letter like the other guy..but a bit nicer. Ric replied and said that he was visiting his grandma who was in a hospital. It was a unplanned visit...she was ill & he wanted to see her. How sweet is that? After that, we've been chatting almost everyday. Usually it's just about how our day was or what our plans for the weekend are...ya know normal chit chat. I'm hoping that he talks more than what he writes though! I'm a true chatterbox...I'm sure I'll bore him to death!
