Hi all,

I have 7 female cats inside, all were outside cats I rescued. Tonight one of the boy cats that is an outside cat, came to the door. I was able to get him to come inside.

My latest female cat came running over to him making a whaling kind of noise. The male cat was timid, although making a whaling noise as well. The female was not backing down, and before anything got too serious, I opened the door and he ran back out side.

Do you think that the female cats will not let the male inside ? What are your thoughts. It's sad, cause he is a really nice boy cat, and I hate to see any of them outside.

Thanks

Brian

Is he already neutered?  If neutered, it should go well. They tend to be accepted into the female dominated semiferale flocks.

You must perhaps make a more scientific introduction than just let them meet at first glance.   :)

Good luck!

I had brought him inside again, this time using a dog crate. The other cats seem to not really mind him. Missy did yowl at him, but did calm down after a while. He was calm and just sat and watched everyone. We have two puppies also, one came up and licked him.

Unfortunately we are going away tomorrow. So I had to take him back outside. Plus the wife was saying NO, for some reason she is drawing the line at 7 cats. I said what is one more ?? She is worried that he will spray to mark his territory.

How cute he is..... First off, if your wife agrees (after your trip), I would only bring him in and keep him secluded in another room until you have him tested, dewormed and vaccinated at the vet. Slow introductions are best!!! And, absolutely your 7 girls could welcome another kitty, male or female, IF introductions are done properly. AND make sure everyone is spayed/neutered :cross: Let us know what you decide and we will help you through the process. I love your DLH white girl. What a cutie staring at the boy as if to say "GO AHEAD, MAKE MY DAY!!!!!!" :lol3: :vibes::vibes::vibes:
