Good morning everyone

Sorry I missed last weeks question.  I haven't been anywhere near a computer for almost 2 weeks.  I went out to my cabin, but then we got a lot of rain, making the one road impassable.

Have you had any weird weather recently?

Here, the weather has been crazy.  We got almost 3 inches or rain.  And the temperature is way below average for this time of year.  In Shaunavon, a small town about 3.5 - 4 hours west of where I live, they got 8 inches of snow!  Snow at this time is a little unusual, but 8 inches of it is crazy.

Yup - crazy wind storm yesterday. It knocked the power out at work twice. We also had some REALLY heavy rain last night...and it was cold!

Everyone's saying it's the tail end of that hurricane moving up the east coast.

It was very hot and dry here until a few days ago. Average for this time of year is about 22C. It was mid-high 30s last week and beginning of this week. We've had barely any rain lately, and yesterday we got 43.6mm according to the weather network. Now the temperature has gone way down to about 15C.

The weather has been SO odd this year here in the Chicago. March was record breaking heat. Then it got cold again. Then hot again. The last two days were in the low forties  I honestly thought it could have snowed the other night :cold: Heat was on and then the next day the air conditioning. Just crazy weather.

For about a week it's been raining very heavy on and off every day. Good for the yard though.

We were under a tornado watch last night for several hours. The t-storms have been terrible around here lately. Lots of loud thunder, very intense lightning, and it's been very windy. We were in the upper 80s, low 90s for most of the week, so when the cold front moved in, it came through with a bang.

The weather here in St. Louis has been crazy for about the last year.  This spring has been unusual because it is 90 one day and 60 the next.  Very erratic even for this location.  At least we are having a spring this year.  Last year we went from rain and very cold immediately into the upper 90s.  No spring at all.

Same wet weather that Tiger said. The soil is so saturated that it smells sour, water table is so high, that sloughs just have to evaporate (adding to the sour smell) and the skeeter crop is progressing nicely because of all the standing water.

Back in 86, there was a horrible snow storm in this area in May, and that dumped a good foot of snow over most of southern Saskatchewan and Alberta; I was in Calgary at that time and mowed the lawn and shoveled snow over the same weekend..
