New cat owner, rescued two ferals.

We just rescued a mama cat with her one surviving kitten. We have been working with the mother since last August. She was about 5 months old when she started eating at our feeding station. She would come in and out of our home and even nap on the bed at times. However since we did not have air conditioning in the house, the time was not right to bring her in. We were hoping to get her tame enough to get fixed and rehomed. She is tame enough for that, but unfortunately we couldn't get the process done before she became pregnant. She currently has an almost 5 week old boy kitten.

What you are doing for these two beautiful kitties is just awesome!!! It sounds like you are on the right path to doing what is best for them both. Good job and good luck on finding these babies good, loving homes!

We plan on keeping them as long as it takes to get them good homes. That is rather difficult where we live. People don't seem to care about animals here.
