Hello to all!

I am new here and just wanted to say hello.

I have had cats pretty much my entire life. I have acquired two new kittens. One an orange tabby named Cheddar, born March 2. And the second is a little black kitty that I thought was at least 6 weeks old but I think might be closer to 4 weeks old. (I just got him two days ago)

I am excited to find this site and hope that I can find valuable information here as well as share.

Hello there!   Welcome to TCS! 

I'm pretty new here, too. I kind of grew up a dog person, so when I adopted Coal, I knew very little about raising a kitten, much less a feral kitten who was taken from the mother too soon. (Someone poisoned mama   ) 

Anywho, I did lots of research, joined this page, and I have learned LOTS! I think you'll do great, and we're all here to help you through. 


Just a question. The 4 week old... where is the mama kitty? Is he/she on formula or anything?

Hey, thanks for your response!    It's been fun reading about all the different cats and their families. 

My little Colby came from a friends whose cat had kittens.  So I could take him back, but I have grown attached!!!!  LOL  Also, he was feeling ill and the second day I had him he threw up worms.  So I took him to the vet and we got him medicine.  He is eating much better after that and I can tell that he is getting much, much stronger.  He also had a tick on him, so I think that was pulling the energy out of him.  I am a little hesitant to send him back for a week or two because I don't want to put him back in that environment again. 

Now if I could just get Chedder to stop using him as a chew toy!  LOL
