mama Bella gave birth to 3 babies 16 days ago, everyone seems to be doing great, but I noticed tonight that Bella was bleeding a little, it had to have happend within the last 2 hours I was gone, but I can't really tell where it came from... It starts under her tail, right above her bottom and went down to her lady business... It doesn't look like it was runny or thin... But not super thick either... She seems to be feeling good though, eating, drinking, using her litter box, taking care of babies as soon as she hears a peep, still running to greet me and be loved on... Has anyone ever heard of this??? I have to pick up another cat I took in to be spayed at 11 in the morning, I could tell them about her, but I figured I would see what everyone on here thinks before then...

I remember after having my last child, an "arm" of the placenta remained inside me and came out a few weeks afterward, which caused some bleeding.  I have no idea if this is possible or not for cats.  Has she been more active lately?  Any possibility of anal bleeding due to constipation?

I've read that bleeding up to 10 days after is fine, but anything after that should be checked by a vet. Also if it's smelly it shows signs of infection and she will need to be checked asap. Hope she's okay and the babies are doing well!!! We need picture updates

Bella's babies - I will try to get at least one of each tonight :) they are doing awesome! The one that looks like Mama, he is a little escape artist!!!! Lol. her bleeding as I've seen and noticed is gone and hasn't came back... It didn't have a smell, before I noticed it, I picked her up and sat her in my lap, so I got a smudge on my pants. I will mention it to the vet before I head in to get the other kitty and see what they recommend. Thank you both.

Mittens litter, I will also try my best to get pictures tonight of that litter too :) I tried a bit ago, but only managed to get pics of 3, they're all such walkers now that's it's hard to get them to sit still now, the little white, well not so white anymore, he's a bully! He likes to trample over everyone when I walk in the room... Push others over and just sit on them! Lol.They are doing great! Very mobile now once I sit down and start talking to them.

None of my (breeding) girls have ever bled that long after delivery. I'd at least be phoning the vets.
