Hey y'all!

Just wanted to stop in and introduce my self and my kittens! Two weeks ago me and my roommate adopted a couple kittens from Animal control can brought them home.We were so happy with our new babies. As time went on all seem good, the kittens were doing great, but my roommates kitten seemed a tad slow. We were about to take the guys for their check up when at the end of the first week I woke up and discovered my roommates kitten had passed on. We didn't get many answers on why his life was so short, just that he was a weak kitten with a weak body. We were so sad over what happened. But at least the kitten was comfortable and loved until his last day, and now we had a chance to save another life. Well after very careful choosing and making sure the new kitten was healthy and sound we came home with a new addition. Both the kittens are happy ,playful and sooo loving.

I will post pics of the little guys soon!

Looking forward to exploring the site and meet more cat lovers!

A warm welcome to you. I'm also new to the site and finding it a great place all ready.

As a cat rescuer, who is involved in TNR, (trap neuter and release) where I live, and currently care for 31 cats and counting. I can't tell you how grateful I am to you for rescuing your sweet fur babies. There are so many of them in shelters and never enough homes to go around.

I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet baby and agree, you did provide a loving home to her for the time she had, thank you for that.

I commend you for trying again instead of letting it stop you from letting another sweet angel into your hearts, you will never be sorry for that because the new kitty will bring you lots of joy and love.

I have lost many of my furry friends and there were times I didn't think I could do it one more moment, but then I would regroup and realize that I had provided them with love and kindness, something they might never have known. Because of them, I keep trying to make a difference for the ones that are still here.

I can't wait to see pics of those little babies.

Thanks for your kind welcome!

I am currently trying to find info on my local TNR as there are a few toms and females wandering around my new complex, now with the addition of kittens.

Also when I get into a house next year , I'm hoping to be able to start fostering cats and or dogs. I use to volunteer with a local rescue and help hold adoption days for shelter pets. But work , school, and medical problems got in the way but Im hoping to start back up soon.

At the moment though I wanted to get a cat of my own as my dog who I have had since I was 7 (now 19) is getting very very old ( she was a rescue as well when we got her she was aged 8 to 10! ) and I don't want an empty house when she's gone, plus she also loves the kittens her self. I would have rescued an adult but I  also have pet rats and felt it would be easier and safest to introduce them to kittens then an adult.

Ill have pics up in just abit!

Wow, sounds like you're busy too. That's so sweet of you to want to help the kitties out there even though you all ready have a lot going on.

I don't know where you live, but I got started by contacting my local Humane Society. Even if you can't start TNR yourself, you could contact them about the situation and see what options there are.

It's so sweet how dogs love kitties, I know mine always did. I don't have a dog now my last one, Morgan a beautiful Golden mix, and the most amazing dog I ever had, died 2 years ago. I also had an elderly cat at the time but sadly she is gone as well.

All of my pets have been rescues throughout my life as well, but after my last two were gone I was never going to get anymore. Never say never.

Now as you know I do and probably will for a long time to come.

I know the prospect of loosing an elderly pet is scary and their lives are just so short.

I hope when you post some pics you have some of your sweet dog I would love to see her too.
