sometimes cats have this before giving birth, my cat was sick 2 nights in a row just 2 days before she gave birth and had runny poo, she was eating like a horse ten min before she gave birth she really showed no signs, but sounds like your cat is close maybe next few days x

by runs you mean diarrhea?  Yes, it is not uncommon very shortly before the delivery.  I believe they prefer to empty the bowels.

Keep us updated!

Good luck!

This is quite normal for any animal giving birth, even human females, as long as no blood in stool.

Yes I was talking about diarrhea but no blood which is a good sign, still no sign this morning just sleeping a lot and nipping at me when I'm stroking her near her back end,a couple of boxes set up for her and, an old duvet over my bed cover just incase she decides thats the place she wants to have them, heres hoping its not to far away ,she was rubbing her bottom along the floor earlier is this common?

Rubbing her bottom along the floor makes me think of an anal gland problem, but I guess it could be something to do with her diarrhea and/or very early labour.

She's not letting me or anyone else for that matter near her,if i stroke she kind of howls at me then nips my hands I've read somewhere else that owners don't always know or catch the waters breaking but is it obvious when it does?

You may see the mucus plug come out with a tinge of blood, but this is not a gush, this may happen about a day before labor.  The 'water' may break when the kitten is being pushed out.

Cami lost her mucus plug today around noon and had her first kitten a few hours later! We now have three bouncing baby girls! :)

Yep, Cami was in her box too when she lost hers. She was in the box pretty much all morning so I hoped today would be the day! :) I sat with her and rubbed her belly for awhile and her contractions began. Hopefully your mama cat delivers sooner rather than later! It's so hard waiting!
