My rescue momma has been producing colostrum for 5 days now as well, no labor signs yet either :( Feel free to join the wait!

Cats who have already been moms tend to produce milk sooner then first time moms. The best sign I have seen was when they stopped eating if plenty of acess to food(Sister took in a pregnant cat who was not being fed very well at all and she ate up till labor)  My experience is 36 hours or so they stopped. But it is so much to do with that particular cat.

Good luck

Ugh it's taking forever! I just want them to come out :). I thought for sure she was going to have them last week..

Catsallaround, it's her first( and last) litter. I will definitely watch for decrease in appetite. When she started showing, I started free feeding her, but maybe I will measure the amount in the bowl and check every so often how much remains.

So, it's been almost 10 days since she started producing milk and she still has not given birth... what the heck?

I would be thinking about a vet visit.  It's occuring to me it's possible she has a false pregnancy.

Agree, 10 days is very unusual

No, she is definitely pregnant. Her stomach looks like water boiling in a pot. They have been very active for over 2 weeks now.

Right, if you see or feel kittens moving then it has to be a real pregnancy.  Go by the signs she is giving you.  If she is not having any suspicious discharge or signs of infection, seems to be feeling ok, and still somewhat active (although preg moms will sleep more), then she is probably ok.

Cats are odd and mysterious creatures, lots of variation between queens and pregnancies.

I first noticed the pinking 6 weeks ago this wednesday.. so that would put her at 8.5 at the minimum (if you go by pinking starts at 3 weeks along). I don't normally check her teats lol, so they could have been pink earlier on, but that is just when I noticed them.

There has been no odd behaviour besides nesting etc (which she doesn't do very often), no discharge etc so I guess it's just not time yet.

Mine (Muffin)  was pinking 5 weeks ago and I'm guessing her at 8.5 weeks too.  Let's see who's goes first.  Mine isn't lactating yet though, but nesting quite a bit.

Okay, hopefully they both have them soon! I hate waiting!!

Well, I am hoping that she is farther along and I just did not notice. When she first started lactating, I got excited and thought okay, here we go!! And now it's 11 days tomorrow...crazy kitty.
