Patricia needs a waterer next month because my younger sister is graduating from Ohio State and there is nobody to catsit for five days, That means I need to figure out which of these three waterers is the best for her:

I narrowed down my choices to these three because it must be stainless steel, eligible for Amazon Prime (free two-day shipping), highly rated (4-5 stars), and the type that has a pump (not gravity operation). To decide which of those three is the best for Patricia, an American shorthair who weighs 10 pounds and does not play, I need help from people who own this type of water fountain.

1. Is 60 ounces enough for five days?

2. Should I worry about complainers?

3. Does the way water falls matter?

4. Which company is better?

Anything you can tell me is helpful right now because I have to hurry up with buying this thing!

I did a lot of looking and research on a fountain for my cat, and after catching him drinking out of the fish tank it dawned on me that I already had one. (and it was WAY cheaper then buying one) I took the 10 gal tank that was empty and put a filter on the side. The filter only moves the water, it doesn't 'filter' it, but it creates interest. I change half the water every other week, and it seems to work well. I put a box next to the tank to allow him to drink level with the tank or stand on the side of it, and because he no longer sticks his feet in it to make it move, the water stays cleaner longer. Pretty often craigslist has tanks with filters for next to nothing, or wal-mart sells them in kits also. I already had the 10g, but a 3 or 5 gallon glass or acrylic tank would work for what you're looking for, and yes, your cat would be fine for at least 5 days, but more likely longer if needed.

I'm just bumping this back up to the top so people might see it.  I have a fountain, but none of the models you are asking about  I'm guessing you read all the reviews on Amazon?  That's how I usually judge whether or not to buy something
