I have three adult cats, two boys and a mama cat with two kittens. They are about 3 weeks now.

Today when I was at stable (I volounteer at horse stable and get free riding lessons) and there I saw that the stable owner started carrying two kittens to the river to toss them. She didn't want them there and she wanted to kill them. I stopped her and brought the little beauties home. Few days ago my friend took the third one and her cat accepted it. They are about 4 weeks old.

I got quite lucky, because as soon as my cat saw the kittens she adopted them. She started cleaning them and then carried them where the other two were and fed them. I'm very optimistic about them. I decided to keep one black girl, and give away other three kittens.

I wanted to hear your opinions. What should I do next with all of them?

PICTURE TIME!

One of the kittens I brought home, girl that i'm probably keeping. Thinking of naming her Negra

The other kitten, a boy with beautiful eyes

And those are my two kittens couple days ago. Grey one is boy and black one is girl, same as the ones I brought. What a coincidence, right?

And here are Sivka the mama cat and all four kittens

I would sooner ask, what to do before...

I would recommend a vet check up, deworming, defleasing.... Perhaps also a quarantine till you are sure they are healthy, before they are allowed to meet your residents.

Although you are perhaps used to many animals, your cats are healthy, in- out cats with full shots, so no quarantine is not a problem with you?

I know for some people such spontan adoptions isnt no big issue, they let the new cat meet immediately the residents.  These are almost always as skissed above.  And or the residents are themselves ex rescuees.

Anyway, you can still do this, if there is any issue.

The kittens are almost surely at least in need of some deparasiting, as the stable owner surely neglected them and their mom, the stable cat(?).

Otherwise? I suspect you dont dare to tell the stable owner some words of truth, including his ancestry, himself, and most important and most true, his thereafter.

But you can in any case tell him the easiest and best way to stop unwanted kittens is to spay his stable cats.  And preferably also all other cats around...

Im sure his horse veterinary will get him a discount.  Can perhaps do the surgery while visiting.

Otherwise Im sure YOU can help with transporting the cats to the vets office.

You can also tell him, if he necessary wants to kill of unwanted kittens, and dont afford to let the vet do it, it is better and more human to shoot them. There is surely some experienced hunter around who know how to do it.  Cheap, and properly done, a quite OK way, considering the circumstances.

Drowning is the old way AND cruel...

And the cats?  If the mom accepts them, they are healthy and everybody is happy,  I dont think you do need to do much. They are adopted by the mom and new siblings... Just go on like on railway, as the swedish proverb says.   :)

Tx for caring!

Good luck!

Thank you so much for your answer!

I couldn't ask earlier as I decided to take them only when I saw her taking them to river. I didn't think that I'm going to bring new kittens before.

My cats all live outside, but come into house often. They are deparasited, have no flees and they never had any illiness and they also had shots. I checked the kittens and they have no flees (I was very surprised with that) and it doesn't seem that they have worms either. They are completely healty except that the gray boy has a little bruise on his shoulder, prabably from fall, nothing serious. I'll get them to vet when they are just bit older to have shots toghether with my two kittens.

I might try to ask the owner of the stable to get the cat spayed. He is a bit less harsh than his wife, and he might also get it for free as he is good with veterinar and gets free shots for horses.

The kittens are doing just fine, they already got used on new envoirment :)

Personally I would be worming all the kittens, with Panacur or similar, or when they are big enough with a Milbemax.  However I gather the later isn't available in the US which is a pity as it's safe for pregnant and lactating queens, and deals with a lot of different kinds of common worms.
