Today as I was walking into Safeway, I noticed a fire truck and fire fighters standing there with boots in their hand. They were collecting donations for Muscular Dystrophy.

I decided to give them the contents of my coin purse, which consisted of several "Toonies" and "Loonies" and a bunch of quarters etc. Probably around $10 or more.

Anyway, after I dumped the contents into the boot I went into Safeway and suddenly realized I didn't have any change for the shopping cart.

So I sheepishly went back outside and asked the poor guy if I could have a quarter back for the cart!   He laughed as he dug into the boot for a quarter to give to me,  LOL

That's something I'd do! LOL

Seriously, it was very kind of you to be so generous.

Many years ago, when I was a youngin', and single, the local firefighters were selling hot dogs and sodas in the grocery store parking lot. I can't remember why, but my father had driven me there, and was in the car in parking lot.  I bought a hot dog and soda, sold to me by a very handsome, friendly fireman.  He offered to carry them to my car ( I didn't notice them doing that with any other customers!); I think he was flirting with me.  All I could think of was that my Dad had driven me there and was in the car, and how embarassing this would be--what would the guy think about me?  I blushed and stammered out some excuse to prevent him from helping me. Dang it!  He was very handsome....
