So his royal badness is more than fine. All test results normal and he does not have any issues with thyroid, kidney, liver or any other organs.

Thanks so much everyone who responded last week in helping me stay calm and collected. The Doc did not feel the boniness I thought I felt, but he is back down to his normal weight. That is likely, the vet says, because senior food formulas have fewer calories. And really, he was too heavy at 17 pounds last June. he is now back down to 14, but he's a large cat. His boyish figure is back.

However, the slightly shabby appearance of his coat may have coincided with me taking him off Blue Buffalo Wilderness and putting him on Blue Buff. mature formula. I have now included some Natures Variety raw chicken medallions into his diet along with canned and kibble.

Any suggestions for a vitamin for his coat, or should I just wait to see if it starts to look a little better with the addition to his diet?

No recommendations on his coat and I just picked up this thread but want to say Congratulations on your results.  It must be great to be on the other side of that!

My feral, Lucky, had such a rough coat when I first found him. I bought a multivitamin at the store in treat form, and after supplementing this for a few days, his coat was much silkier.

It's great that all is well with Pumpkin! Yay!

Thanks so much for the suggestion. Again I really appreciate all the good vibes everyone sent my way.
