Hi everybody,

My girl is pregnant and I think she is almost ready to go into labor, but I don't know when she got pregnant so I could be wrong. It was 4 1/2 weeks ago that I noticed she was getting a tad round and when I checked her nipples they were large and pink.

Last night I was holding her and she all of a sudden started digging and clawing in the blankets. So, I put her in her nest box and kept an eye on her. Then later on I noticed her licking herself and pacing around, she would lay on her side, get up and then lay back down, constantly. I checked her nipples and she has colostrum which she didn't have the day earlier.

I put her in an XL dog crate overnight right by my bed with her food/water/litterbox and a bed. She was extremely restless and started meowing very loudly on and off pretty much all night ( I don't know if this was her protesting to being confined or not..).

Anyways, here we are about 20 hours from when she dug in the blankets, and nothing has happened yet.. She has dug on and off, but she has not been licking herself and I have not seen any discharge. Right now she is laying in her nest box and has been resting in there pretty much all day.

How can I tell when she will have them? Since she just got her milk yesterday does that mean it will be soon? I hope it is soon as next week I can't stay home to watch her, and I would really like to be there in case she needs a hand. :/

You really can't ever know for sure unless you know the exact date she conceived. Sounds like it will be soon though! Good luck!

Ugh...

Thanks! I hope it will be soon as well. She got out of the box then proceeded to lick herself so maybe she is feeling something.
