When is it a good time to give the kittens away?
And.....how can I be sure I am giving away females and not males???
(I went a year expecting my "Peaches" to get pregnant and have kittens.....but,.....the older HE got the more evident the gender hahaha!)
Is hard for me to identify when they are babies.
Thanks for any help you can give.

I know alot of people say you should wait until they are 8 weeks. Some alos say you should wait until 12 weeks. I would think that if they are eating on there own and not nursing anymore they would be ready to go to new homes. I would wait until 12 weeks if you can but no sooner than 8 weeks. As for gender maybe someone else can help you on that.

Please please have your cat spayed as soon as the kittens are weaned. And make sure that prospective adopters know that all kittens, males and females must be spayed/neuteres at the age of 5-6 months.

I agree with the others here. After she weans the litter, get her spayed right away!!

Never quite saw it explained that way but you are absolutely correct, assuming they know what they are looking for! Thanks for the smile!
