My cat is approximately between 8-9 weeks pregnant. Today I noticed that her kitties are moving around a lot more inside of her and its making her restless. I also noticed that around her vaginal area it looks kind of moist and swollen and there is a small opening. Does this mean her kittens will be born today or tomorrow? I've never dealt with cat pregnancy so any information would be helpful!

I suspect it has began, as there is this opening....  Nearing anyway.

Please look around this Forum, there is also an article section...   If you hadn done it earlier, it is high time NOW.   Although I suspect you did read on some, and prepared as well you could.  :)

Keep us updated!

My cat is now actively discharging a clear mucous that would be the best way to describe it. She is also keeping her butt in the air the same way when she was in heat. When she went to get a drink of water she didn't put her bottom all the way down either. Hopefully she has them soon but she is still eating regularly.

Not all cats stop eating, one of my queens (I'm a registered breeder) eats right up until birth.

Your girl is well on her way with the clear discharge, won't be long now.

Mine has been eating all the way through and she did the butt in the air thing about 6 hours before she gave birth...maybe next she will start little meows and then u will see the tummy start to contract, small at first but then it will be strong. Nieshas waters just broke in one of the contractions and then about 6 contractions later there was the first kitten. Also she meowed when the contractions started...like she was in heat...but then she was silent when they actually came out :)

Same here too. My cat just delivered this afternoon and she didnt ever act any different. She ate all the way up til it began and she was never changing in attitudes or meowing loudly or anything. The only thing I noticed was that "opening" and her back seemed to bow from the weight of the kittens quite sudenly in the days leading up til birth (like 2-3 days before. I suspect its cause they dropped). Keep us posted, I'm anxious to know how it goes! Oh ....and welcome!

No babies as of this morning. She usually follows me around and she hasn't been doing that this morning she is just laying in the door way. She also is not using her litter box she poo'ed right outside the box and peed on her towels that I set up
In the nesting box.
