Hey everyone, :wavey:

I have been reading other threads and it is really helping to have others to talk to in this anxious/excited waiting time! So I have joined and thought I would start a new thread.

So here goes, our Persian cat niesha is 65 days pregnant and although she is acting odd looking everywhere and going in her nest box she has had no contractions or discharge. She has had an ultra sound last week so we know she is having at least two kittens! :-)

I want to know what the first signs will be from here on? I am quite nervous as my partner is working 12-10pm this week so it is just me with her!

Any advice would be appreciated!

Waiting on my 2nd kitten from my Manx girl..she showed NO signs of labor other, than not wanting to leave,my side..no discharge, no visible contractions....I thought she wouldnt go until tonight at the earliest and she curled up on my pillow and I noticed feet:) . She had already broken the sac which scared me, 10 minutes latershe had a male tailless with no issues other than pain(growling, loud meowing,) but she is a small queen and this is her first (and only) litter. I did notice that her ears felt warm?? Temp is supposed to drop so I'm not sure what that was about...Good luck with your girl..shes beautiful!

Awww how exciting, looking forward to seeing the pics. This is my cats first litter too and I have been waiting for the last four days when she started nesting. I had read lots of threads saying that their cats had discharge 12 hours before and I've seen nothing but if yours came along without long contractions then I will keep a close eye. She is asleep at the moment in one of her nests :D

I'm anxiously waiting also.....it's driving me crazy. I'm sure this week sometime we will have the pitter patter but the wait seems so long. No discharge from seen either, although looks like she has a football team and ball in there. Mine is also nesting and sleeping.....oh to have a cats life, mind Ive carried twins and the thought of 5/6 isn't worth thinking about :lol3: . So we can wait together like expectant fathers with the cigars at the ready :lol3:

Hahaha yes we sure can! I have been waking up for the last four nights and was even dreaming she had the kittens and woke up startled! Last night had a good sleep thou so ready for them now! Have you felt her to see if any of the kittens have moved down towards the vulva? Niesha's have moved down a bit but still fairly high up
. She just looks so content as thou she doesn't have a care in the world!

I'm not sure really, I've gently palpated whilst giving her a good belly rub and noticed that there seems to be a hard mound low down ( headed in the right direction) but she's still really round ( up high) but also has a bit of a paunch :lol3: so not sure if that means anything or not. The kittens are moving around like mad though. Mine also seems to sigh a lot more the last day or so and has short episodes of increased respiration and the hiccups lol.....it's such a guessing game

It does turn a person ever so slightly crazy :D I'm sure she sees me coming and thinks " not her again " mine went of food a few days ago and now drinks like there's no tomorrow..... She has to be due this week lol, as I know she was well out of heat when the clocks changed ( UK) which was 25/3 and she had escaped over a week before that....so I'm sure it's any day now :-S

Well, we finished out at 3 which was exactly what I felt when I palpated.. 2 tailless, 1 full tail...all 3 are marked liked an ocicat...when the female is licking her rear so much that they fur is wet, I'm guessing no more than 24 hours..same with nipples..they will lick the hair around their nipples so that its easier for the kittens to find..My lil ones are doing great! Mama is doing good..she is such as mamas girl that she rolls over on them some when I check on her because she just wants her belly rubbed..will keep adding pictures to the albumin and checking back to see how your guys mamas are doing..

I can't wait myself for your Mama to pop!!! Hehe. Here are the only things I noticed with my mama's the day of delivery...

Mittens - didn't really show any signs, just her normal lovey dovey self, but tried to fit into small spaces an hour before labor started, and wanted to be in HER room only, and started licking her nipples quite a bit, and extra lazy just before all those started. She had 6 babies all within 1hr30minutes! Yes... 6 babies!!!! Haha

Bella - I noticed discharge coming from her lady business about 3-4 hours before labor started, she was lovey dovey all the day before, the day OF she wanted love and me around, but she would stay about 5 feet away from me and clean herself constantly, she still ate and drink normally(people say some don't eat as much). She would come in and out of her nesting area, walk around for a minute, then lay down, walk, then lay, but for the couple of hours before delivery she didn't move around so much, she was pretty talkative with a tired look on her face. And her water broke a couple of hours before the big moment.

I think that's it... Lol.

Good luck!!!! Please keep me posted!!!! :D

Nice to see some more breeders around the site, is your girl a smoke tortie? What colour is the sire?

Re the Manx, many bred here are spotted tabbies. Did you not expect that from the mating? I'm not up with the terms for tails, rumpy, rumpy riser and all that
