My hummingbirds are BAAACCKKK!

How I missed them! I was sitting on the sofa, and saw one out of the corner or my eye, investigating the feeder. Haven't seen him/her since, but I think it's a newbie--it didn't look like my 5 originals from last summer, and I've noticed that new ones alwys approach the feeder, then turn and fly back.  Tomorrow, it will probably be feeding there, and will also "greet" me at the window.  Every single one of the 5 did that last year, the first time I saw them. They come right up to the window, and hover in front of me, checking me out.  Maybe it's my red hair, as they are very attuned to the color red. At any rate, it's so cute! It's like they are introducting themselves to me, "Hi, I'm Bob, the new hummingbird in town. Pleased to meet you. And, oh, BTW, love the sugar water you cook us. You must give me the recipe some time!"

I really thought I would see my first of the season today--don't know why.

Some of you know why hummingbirds are so special for me, so you'll know why I'm so excited.

Oh honey, I'm so glad you have your hummers back! Ours made an early appearance then disappeared for a week or so. They came back around this evening, watching me mowing the lawn (think they were in shock! lol). 

I saw this yesterday and thought of you.

What a lovely lovely video, we do have some really beautiful birds here but no hummingbirds, what super little birds they are.
