I had my cat Sadie spayed on May 15th, with no complications. On May 18th, I noticed some greenish colored discharge and brought her to the vet. They said that she had a reaction to the cleaning solution that they used on her after the surgery, and they gave her an antibiotic shot and said the area should clear up within a couple of days. Today when I looked at the spot it had a reddish brownish spot on it. I'm hoping that it is just a scab, or sign of it healing...but it looks really disgusting and I'm worried about it. Since I really have no idea what I'm suppose to be looking for, other than discharge and unusual things (which since the spay everything looks unusual to me.) I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on this, maybe people who have had their cat spayed before and know what to look for. As I said, it looks nasty. If you have a really weak stomach (like I do) you may not want to look at it. But if you do, I appreciate it.
May 16th - Normal looking
May 18th - Kinda gross, but nothing compared to today...
