Zelda sometimes..less now then she used to will eat and then promptly puke the undigested kibble up.

It only happens a few times a month now it used to be almost daily with her. She doesn't seem to eat fast anymore like she did when I first brought her in...she was feral

I have her eating the blue buffalo wilderness and I change flavors once a month when I get a new bag. She seems to really like the food. I bought cat grass and it only helped a little.  I'm kinda lost here and worried something could be wrong.

It's possible she could be allergic to something in the food.  When you change her food, do you do it gradually, or is it all at once?  If it's all at once, it could be that you're changing it too quickly.

she went from eating out of a dumpster to eating this food. it's all shes eaten since I got her.

If she was allergic wouldn't she puke each time?

When I change flavors it's all at once, but still the same brand..from what I looked at only the main protein changes from bag to bag.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I think the question was in regards to your comment that you change her food once a month. Do you mean to a different brand, or a different protein? Because if you change from let's say "chicken" blue buffalo whatever to "lamb" (I have no idea what they offer), then the protein source may be the problem.

And eating fast isn't always the reason for vomiting. Kibble has almost no moisture in it, so it expands in the stomach. If she eats a lot - which she may do at some meals and not others, then if she eats a bunch, it expands, there's no room, and she throws it up. That's a possibility. :dk:

A different protein is what I meant. I rotate each month between the chicken, duck and salmon wilderness, I didn't think it would cause stomach upset since only the protein changes bag to bag.

Ive been wanting to switch them to a wet diet, but she wont eat wet food and feeding them each 2 cans a day of my idea brand would be more than I can afford right now.

She used to eat it all at once, but now she just nibbles a little at a time all day..she gets 1/4 cup twice daily, but never eats all of it

My vet didn't say much when I brought this to his attention..
