Good morning

What was your favorite pastime when you were young?

Mine was a toss up between video games and hide & seek.  Playing hide & seek at midnight on a farm with 30 other people is always fun.

I always loved to color in coloring books!

In fact I found some for adults, the Mandela coloring books. A lot of them are very

intricate. I bought some colored pencils for them. I only do about one a yr. or so, because

It makes my hands sore, because I color so hard to get deep rich colors.  If I do one in one setting,

it has taken up to two hrs to do.  I will have to take a picture of one & attach it when I get home, so you can see!

(at wk. now) some are very pretty!!

It can also be very quiet & therapeutic, to sit there coloring. :)

I LOVED being outdoors as much as possible. Love to play Hopscotch :lol3: and try to catch butterflies in my net to look at them closely and then I would free them completely unharmed :lol3: I also loved to play checkers and crazy eights with whoever would play :D :clap:

Another one here who loved playing outdoors - riding bikes, swinging, climbing trees, exploring parks and cemeteries, rollerskating and anything to do with animals. Summer days were often spent at the swimclub.

Going to my Grandparent's house!  Still is! LOL!

There was always something to do.  Baking in the kitchen or sewing with Gram.  Playing in Grandpa's wood shop or helping him with projects.  Goodies to eat and a beautiful back yard to play in.  I had a scooter there as well as a swing set and plenty of other toys.  Its still one of the few places I go and imediately unwind just by being there.  Too bad it's so far away!

We didn't have video games and only had 3 TV Channels. I loved to play outdoors. We had 1/2 acre of land and all the neighborhood kids played in our yard. My dad was always making Tree houses and Forts. He even made a couple of underground forts. Saturdays were for watching cartoons. The good cartoons, Tom and Jerry, Roadrunner, Popeye, and Sylvester and Tweetie to name a few. Summers, I would go down to the pool at the park. They have removed the pools now and replaced them with sprinkler type water playgrounds.

I loved coloring and riding my bike too.

I loved to read.  Still do.  I would sit on the sun porch at home for hours and hours reading Hardy Boys mysteries.

I've been an avid reader from the time I learned how to read, so I'd have to say reading anything I could get my hands on.

I loved living with my grandmother when I was a little girl; my cousins all lived in the same area, too, so there was always something interesting to do and we all got into a lot of trouble when we were together.

O.k. here are a couple of them, that I've done.

  Those are gorgeous!
"Thanks!"  Another thing about them that is cool, is that on the back of each one, it says something about where you are right now, in your life/journey, in relation to picking that particular one.

So, when I choose one to color, I never look at what the back says, I just pick what I'm drawn to at the time!  Then, I read the back, when I'm all finished.( I used to be a buyer @ the Natural Food

Co-op here, for the wellness dpt. & General Merchandise. I got the book from the co. I used to order our books from,  Integral Yoga.)

It really feels like a peaceful escape when your coloring them. Your just in your own little world.

Inspired creation is the best kind
and yes, Yoga and meditation are so therapeutic, relaxing, and rejuvenating.  The best "medicines" for us all in these very stressful times!
