We were so happy with the 51" Samsung TV that we got for the family room - so today we splurged and bought a 43" Samsung for the bedroom.     Whenever we watch the 51" and then decide to go to bed early (which we often do) we look at that old TV in the bedroom and it just doesn't compare.   So today  (after Paul's 5th EECP treatment) we stopped  at the store where we bought the Samsung and are now getting a 43" for the bedroom.  It's a bit bigger than we had originally planned on -- but when we looked at the 32" it just looked too small.   The store gave us the sale price they had a few weeks ago, so it's something we really will be happy with.    We both enjoy TV and never go out to movies so this is a good investment for us.      And since this year we're not planning a cruise, especially with the medical issues we're been facing, we decided to  treat ourselves.    I guess we can consider this a belated anniversay present from "us to us".

Nice!  I'd love to get a flat screen for my bedroom.  When I got my one for the living room I moved my Sony 33" portable TV into the bedroom. It's big and bulky and sitting on top of my filing cabinet in the corner. It's ok, but it's so heavy and bulky compared to the foot print of the larger flat screen in my living room.

I must admit, that it is less than 2 years ago since I put the TV into my bedroom. I do find that I enjoy curling up in bed and watching recorded shows instead of having to sit on the couch all of the time.  I often find myself having fallen asleep while watching tv.

The draw back is that I used to read a great deal before bed, but I haven't done that in eons. I do sort of miss it.

I did the EXACT SAME THING
and I still read -- after I've gotten ready for bed, I read to get sleepy.  Best of all worlds.  And the big oafish tv is in the living room, so anyone looking in does not see a flatscreen (can't be too careful!)
