Glad to have found this community

Hello CatSite Folks!
I'm glad to have found this community. My husband and I just adopted two female kittens from Houston's Friends for Life... They will be little sisters to our senior male cat Gwenhyvar (but he doesn't know he's a senior at 13 years old! He is in excellent shape and has a young heart). We lost his partner-in-crime, Isis, two years ago. It was very hard on me... but after two years, we were emotionally ready to open our home again. We meant to open our home to just 1 kitten, but you know how that goes.

I found this site while researching how to properly integrate the cats, and addressing some concerns (one of the kittens arrived with what seemed to be an upper respiratory infection). I decided to join so I can share our experiences and get some advice in turn! I've never had to integrate cats before since Isis and Gwen came from the same place so many years ago. I look forward to being a contributing member.

I adopted my 2 together as kittens (litter mates) and I'm glad I did!  They kept each other company and I think it helped them with their kitten energy.  I didn't have any older ones in my home; but I'm sure it helped having someone at the same energy level.

I just found this community as well. I work with feral cats, and we just brought our first fully tame one inside last august because, frankly, he wanted to come in.

Everyone here is really wonderful.
