yellow discharge after deworming

Hi. first post here. I have a new 10 week old kitten,Loki, who just went to the vet yesterday for shots and dewormer. He had feline tapeworms (most likely past from the mother vet says) she gave him a pill for that and a typical yellow liquid wormer. today i was playing with him and noticed a discharge from his behind. i tried looking it up and found info about the anal glands, but his backside doesnt seem to be bohering him at all infact he doesnt even seem to notice the discharge. Just wondering if i should be concerened or if hes possible just passing the wormer. its light yellow and smells very strong (almsot a chemiclal kinda smell. makes me wonder about the wormer). Is this normal after deworming a kitten?

Hmm, I have seen yellow-ish goo in their poop after de-worming--I've always thought it to be the dead worms' remains. But not just leaking out of them, although maybe he had so many worms that he can't hold it all in. Maybe call the vet to ask about it? I'd give him until tomorrow and if it's still happening I'd take him to the vet.

thanks for response. i probably will give the vet a call in a few hours (bit early here). at least it doesnt seem to e bothering him. woke me up at 5am played hard for bout 2 hours and is now conked out. so hopefully nothing i need to worry about. but better safe than sorry.
 

Yes especially with a very young kitten. I had that happen, it was a very long time ago and meds are safer now, but my kitten died :-(, they gave us a huge dewormer pill and green stuff was coming out of her butt shortly after we gave it to her. She went into toxic shock overnight and died the following morning.
